Working from our distribution centre in Croydon you will be a member of a Team of drivers delivering wine orders to our Members in Croydonand the surrounding areas.

You will also be part of a nationwide network of experienced delivery drivers.

Principle duties:

• Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading the van

• Communicating with the distribution office, other drivers and team members to make deliveries & raise issues

• Meeting delivery deadlines and following instructions

• Keeping the van clean and tidy

• Loading and unloading cases of wine

• Use Electronic Proof of Delivery System to obtain Member signatures

• Completing the daily vehicle checks via app

• Reporting any vehicle defects via the app

About the Role:

Our client, a leading international importer and distributor based in Westerham, is seeking an experienced and reliable Delivery Driver to join their team on an initial 2-month contract , with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to a variety of customers across the region, using a 3.5 tonne van . This role is crucial to the continued success and excellent customer service standards of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, secure, and deliver goods efficiently and safely to customer locations

• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues

• Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner

• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures

• Communicate effectively with the dispatch and warehouse teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally in a commercial or distribution setting

• Must hold a clean UK driving license

• Confident driving a 3.5 tonne van

• Physically fit and able to handle manual loading/unloading

• Good geographical knowledge and/or ability to follow GPS directions

• Excellent time management and customer service skills

• Commitment to the full duration of the 2-month contract

Desirable:

• Previous experience working for an importer/distributor or logistics company

• Experience using handheld devices or delivery tracking systems
