Role Overview
As an AutoCAD Drafter at Holovis , you will be responsible for producing high-quality single line diagrams and schematic drawings for complex audio-visual (AV) systems. You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and technical leads to ensure all drawings meet Holovis CAD standards and support the delivery of immersive and interactive experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain AutoCAD drawings for AV system schematics, including signal flow and rack layouts.
- Develop and update single line diagrams for AV infrastructure, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Use Holovis CAD templates, block libraries, and layer standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret technical specifications and translate them into detailed drawings.
- Maintain drawing version control and ensure all files are properly named and archived according to Holovis conventions.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
- Support the documentation of Master Design Files and Published Drawings for project handovers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D desirable).
- Experience producing AV schematics and single line diagrams.
- Familiarity with AV systems, signal flow, and equipment types.
- Understanding of layer management, block creation, and drawing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in themed entertainment, simulation, or AV integration environments.
- Knowledge of Holovis systems or similar immersive technologies.

The successful person would be responsible for using their expertise to enhance the efficiency of the CAD team.
Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Working with clients and internal teams to produce drawings to meet customer expectations.
- Ensuring that designs are of industry standards and regulations whilst also looking for cost savings and ease of production.
- Having a great knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor and iLogic
- Be able to produce manufacturing drawings that easily translates designs in to physical products.
- Working as a team to create the best end result possible.
- Design of new products of quality to ensure that they get certification.
- Project management including the use of Microsoft packages and Google Docs.
Due to the nature of the role, the following is essential:
- Be competent with AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent software)
- Have familiarity with iLogic programming
- Knowledgeable of auto parameters for design efficiently
- Proven experience in creating detailed manufacturing designs
- Excellent communication skills
