The S2 Partnership is looking to expand its expert team of professional consultants and we are seeking a home-based Asbestos Surveyor to join our expanding and successful consultancy team. The focus of this role is to undertake asbestos surveys, reviews, project management and consultancy services to our clients in the commercial sector. Applicants who have risk assessment experience and qualifications in other specialisms such as fire, water or general risk assessment will be especially welcome.
Part of the week will be site-based and part at home working on reports and assisting clients; diaries are pre-planned in advance to support and assist work-life balance. There will be a requirement to travel to our sites with this role, so you will need to have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel to sites.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
You will have:
- Relevant industry competence qualification(s) i.e. BOHS P402 (or equivalent) and BOHS P403 and P404 (or equivalent)
- Excellent working knowledge of asbestos surveying and regulations is required.
- Proven technical understanding and practical application of Asbestos compliance regulations and guidance.
- Good report writing, IT and communication skills.
Desirable experience:
- Proficiency Certificate in Management of Asbestos in Buildings (BOHS P405).
- Proficiency Certificate in Refurbishment & Demolition Buildings Surveys (BOHS P402R).
- Ability to provide asbestos repair and removal project works specifications.
- Experience carrying out air-monitoring within the asbestos field.
- NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or similar / water risk assessment qualification
- Other risk assessment qualifications and experience
