About the Role
We are launching a Proof of Concept (POC) to assess the feasibility of test automation using UiPath, and we need a skilled Automation Engineer to lead this initiative. Your expertise will drive the development of automated testing solutions for our banking applications, ensuring efficiency and reliability in our software processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical:
- Design and implement a POC framework for test automation using UiPath.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for financial software applications.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in UiPath development and test automation.
- Strong understanding of RPA concepts, test automation strategies, and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, VB.NET, or C#.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in integration and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with capital markets and investment banking is a plus.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools beyond UiPath (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Postman).

Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.
Duties:
- The Battery Test Automation Engineer role will focus on the delivery of automation tools in support of the development and design verification (DV) of our client's HV Traction Battery Systems.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Bring:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as CAPL, Python, and C++.
- Expertise in CAN/FlexRay/LIN/Ethernet communication protocols, including tools like CANoe and CANalyzer.
- Strong experience with data analysis tools like AVL Concerto, Tableau, and Minitab.
- Comprehensive understanding of High Voltage powertrain systems and HV Battery technologies.
- A structured problem-solving approach and a strong knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- A full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualifications.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Battery Test Automation Engineer to support the development and design verification of high-voltage (HV) traction battery systems. This role is centred around delivering and maintaining automation tools within advanced testing environments, both in-house and at external test sites.
As a Battery Test Automation Engineer , you’ll work closely with engineering teams, test operators, suppliers, and external agencies to ensure the seamless operation of battery test systems. Your responsibilities will include tool development, diagnostics, safety compliance, and future-proofing test capabilities to support innovation in battery technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of battery test automation tools.
- Provide first-line diagnostics and resolve issues to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimise test tools.
- Deliver technical support and guidance to engineers and facility operators.
- Analyse test data, identify faults, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols during test operations.
- Support planning for future automation requirements and system enhancements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficient in programming languages: CAPL, Python, and C++.
- Expertise in CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet protocols and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA, VehicleSpy.
- Experience with data analysis and visualisation platforms: AVL Concerto, Tableau, Minitab.

- Skilled in interpreting engineering documents, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiar with health and safety standards including Risk Assessment, COSHH, and SDS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
