• To significantly increase the range of new products offered to customers to ensure the company achieves it sales targets in terms of both turnover and profit.

• Locating and using Aftermarket/OEM published information to compile company records to assist and support maintenance of existing product information and new development projects.

• You will need to hold at least 1-2 years of working experience as a project, process, production, manufacturing engineer or similar.

Mechanic / Technician Required

VBE Restorations is a world class vintage Bentley restoration company that has been trading for over 25 years. The company specialise in cars manufactured between (Apply online only).

Due to a continued increase of work, we need to expand our team! We are looking for a Mechanic /Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. A highly motivated individual who has a genuine interest in vintage cars.

The role would be extremely varied with very little repetition but would involve; general mechanics, hand fitting, problem solving and fault diagnosis (without the aid of electrical diagnostic equipment).

It is essential that candidates have completed a mechanical or engineering apprenticeship and have at least 10 years experience as a mechanic or toolmaker. They should also have some experience with vintage or classic cars, specifically with mechanical brakes and manually-timed engines, and SU carburettors.

A suitable Mechanic / Technician may need to learn the specifics of Vintage Bentley restoration techniques but must already be capable of the mechanical skills required of this position. 

It would be advantageous for the candidate to have had exposure / hands on experience with the following:

• Engine building
• Gearbox re-builds
• Differential re-builds
• Machining on lathes and milling machines
• Basic fabrication and TIG welding
• Silver soldering
• Wood working
• Panel making
• Upholstery

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm with a possibility of over time after hours/weekends paid at time and a half (optional).
