Working Pattern  - Shifts are 12hr days and nights, (Apply online only) / (Apply online only). This is 5 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 off rotation which guarantees 2 weekends a month off.

Main Purpose of the Flight Operations Controller:

The Flight Operations Controller is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with the smooth, day to day running of the flight operations desk. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Controller’s principal responsibility is to ensure that the daily flying programme is delivered fully and in compliance with the  quality and safety policies and those of the operators they  support. This includes proactive management of the daily workload.

Key Responsibilities:

• strong>Operations/Service Delivery - overall responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of the daily flying programme for the Commercial Airline Operations Team; ensuring that this is delivered to the highest standards in compliance with the Ops LPM.
• Operations/Quality/Safety – responsibility for your own compliant use of the LEON scheduling software system. scheduling, SMS, PROPS, PPS and Jetplanner/Jeppview flight planning, AFTN, SITA and CFMU, ensuring that any safety issues are raised promptly through the company SMS and dealt with effectively.
< i>Operations/Quality – promoting compliance and safety best practice throughout the Operations Team. Responsibility for ensuring that the full remit of flight dispatch activity is regularly checked for quality and compliance with Operations LPM standards and procedures - prior to and post the dispatch of a flight < i>Supervisory – conducting comprehensive handovers with Operations Supervisors and the Flight Support Manager during shift changeovers and prior to and upon return from any periods of absence from the office. < i>Client Relationship Management – helping to maintain and develop relationships with all Operations clients. Providing a key point of contact for each operator and maintaining regular liaison with key client stakeholders. Taking responsibility for swiftly rectifying any operational issue or problem raised by any client coordinating action across company departments as appropriate. < i>Communication – responsibility for ensuring that communication between all company departments and with clients is effective and timely to help achieve Private/General Operations Team and client requirements and priorities.

We are seeking a highly focused and responsible Air Traffic Controller to manage the safe and orderly flow of air traffic in controlled airspace and on the ground at airports. The ideal candidate will ensure aircraft maintain safe distances from one another and provide clear instructions to pilots during all phases of flight operations.

• Monitor and direct the movement of aircraft on the ground and in assigned airspace using radar, radio communication, and visual references.

• Provide pilots with clearances, instructions, and flight information to ensure safe takeoffs, landings, and en-route operations.

• Coordinate with adjacent control centers and airport operations for seamless traffic transitions.

• Issue weather updates, runway changes, and emergency information to pilots as required.

• Maintain real-time situational awareness of aircraft positions and respond promptly to any conflicts or emergencies.

• Adhere strictly to national and international aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, FAA, CAA) and internal protocols.

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or diploma in Air Traffic Management or a related field.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the organisation meets the legal requirements when reversing a vehicle
• Reduce the number and/or cost of accidents caused by reversing vehicles
• Minimise the amount of reversing and be aware of the dangers caused when reversing
• Use practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers in all manoeuvres
• Will need to use a clear, agreed system of signalling.
• Will need to be visible to drivers at all times.
• Will need to stand in a safe position, from which to guide all vehicles without being in the way
• Will wear hi visible clothing, such as reflective trousers /shirt/coat, and ensure that any signals are clearly seen.
• Be fully compliant with PPE requirements of the site
• Have clear and effective use of the 2-way radio. Communication skills are essential.
• Report to the Operations Manager and Shift Supervisors on any near miss incidents involving vehicle movements in the yard.

At Anglian Water, we're looking to recruit a Traffic Controller to plan & control our LGV resources & equipment. This role is essential to ensure we respond to routine and non-routine emergency tinkering, jetting and sludge bulk/skip haulage requirements to our customers.

You'll be playing a pivotal part in ensuring we effectively transport water recycling by-products around the region from treatment centres to be sold as fertiliser products to farmers whilst also protecting the environment by playing a huge role in helping to minimise the risk of flooding and pollution by proactively jetting our sewers and drains to both prevent and clear blockages.

What does it take to be an Anglian Water Traffic Controller?  

The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, along with the following attributes;   

• Excellent IT skills - experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential & any use of a CRM or Database system would transfer across well

• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written 

• This is a fast-paced & important role, so having resilience & the ability to challenge and question stakeholders is essential  

• A high level of attention to detail   

• Previous traffic controller or general logistics experience would be highly desirable, though it is not essential & this role will offer full training to the successful candidate

Your role will involve:  

• Scheduling the weekly workload for routine/non-routine sludge haulage operations  

• Liaising with drivers and contractors, maintaining driver availability information & ensuring  daily sickness is recorded   

• Instructing drivers & ensuring they follow all procedures & legislation particularly operators licenses with respect to planning, scheduling & control, fleet, record keeping,

• Ensuring the laws relating to the driving & operation of vehicles used under this license are observed  

• Making sure vehicles and trailers, including hired vehicles and trailers, are kept in a fit and serviceable condition as well as recording unplanned vehicle downtime

• Ensure load data information is input into the database accurately in a timely manner
