We are currently recruiting for an Aviation Security Officer to work at Biggin Hill Airport

Part Time permanent position - 28 hours per week
£12.50 per hour
4 nights per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 10pm to 6am

This role requires you to have your own transport to get to site

CTC and DBS checks required for all potential candidates.

Your Time at Work

Working in Biggin Hill Airport as part of a team to deliver great customer service and aviation security to all our customers. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for aircraft protection, Aircraft Searches, baggage Search, passengers Search where required.
- Provide great customer service to passengers and customers
- Report all security incidents and concerns to the security supervisor
- Work positively and effectively with all team members and other airport and airline colleagues
- Comply with training, security regulations and G4S is company policies and procedures
- Work safely at all times and in line with G4S is safety standards, policies and procedures
- Always act professionally, dress smartly and be an excellent timekeeper
- Complete any reasonable tasks that are required by the company / Line manager.
- You will be an energetic and professional team player who can work to demanding timescales to ensure that flights depart on time. You will be provided with the necessary training and uniform so that you can confidently carry out the role in line with security regulations and G4S is company policies and procedures.

Our Perfect Worker

To be considered for employment with G4S in this role you must be able to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months.
- Must be a UK resident for the last 3 years.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Good customer service/communicating skills.
- Must be able to pass the CRC check.
- Must be able to pass all required training.
- Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self- employment or full and part time education during that period.
- Physical requirements include being able to be on their feet for extended periods of time, plus being able to work in outdoor weather environments.

To Be Considered:

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

Randstad are recruiting for an MEP Project Manager to work on a structural refurb project at Gatwick Airport.

This is a freelance contract position in ECI phase expected to last 4-6 months with potential for main works involvement in 2026. (OUTSIDE IR35 will be considered pending successful QDOS assessment)

The MEP PM Manager will oversee all MEP works within the structural upgrade package, working closely with the works management team and co-ordinating all works to meet the required project programmes. The role requires collaboration with internal supply chain, Gatwick Airport supply chain and project management team.

The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring all internal and client processes and procedures are followed to develop the programme. As part of the role, the MEP Construction Manager will be required to coordinate with Gatwick Tier 1 suppliers, to ensure that all of their works are fully coordinated and integrated to operate as a system.

  • Lead and coordinate the development of MEP proposals, ensuring alignment and consistency across all project functions and disciplines. Facilitate clear communication and understanding of these proposals within the project teams.
  • Drive the development of MEP mobilisation activities, and assist in procurement processes by identifying long-lead and high-risk packages to secure timely delivery aligned with client and project needs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Safety Management plans for Electrical, Mechanical, and Testing & Commissioning activities. Oversee temporary site services and support interface management in collaboration with the Stakeholders Manager.
  • Champion the adoption and monitoring of Gatwick's values and behaviours throughout the project.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar level role, responsible for the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems including management, , construction, quality, testing, commissioning and handover.

  • Strong leadership, communication and conflict management skills

HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience of delivering MEP works on a major aviation project
