Our client, a prestigious architectural firm, is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator to join their growing team. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in the UK. You will play a critical role in managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across multiple high-profile architectural projects. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing BIM standards, protocols, and workflows, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead a team of BIM technicians, providing guidance and technical support. Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is essential, along with a deep understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650). You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design clashes and ensure efficient project delivery. Experience in managing BIM execution plans (BEPs) and conducting model audits is crucial. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership capabilities. - Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
- Coordinate BIM activities across all project disciplines.
- Manage and oversee the creation and quality control of BIM models.
- Lead and mentor a team of BIM technicians and specialists.
- Conduct clash detection and provide solutions for design conflicts.
- Prepare and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients on BIM-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and training on BIM software and processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM practices within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in BIM coordination and management.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of BIM standards and best practices, including ISO 19650.
- Experience in leading and managing BIM teams.
- Strong understanding of architectural and construction processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with common data environments (CDEs) is advantageous.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., CIW, BIM Excellence Initiative) is a plus.
