As a Building Regulations Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring safety and compliance across a diverse range of exciting projects. Working as part of the central BRPD team and reporting to the H&S Director, you'll collaborate with the design teams to deliver innovative, compliant solutions for clients.

• Ensure all Designers and related parties discharge their legal duties effectively.

• Share necessary information with Principal Contractors to aid compliance in build planning and execution.
• Create and submit Gateway 1, 2, and 3 documentation for BSR applications.

• Coordinate duties alongside the CDM Principal Designer to integrate health and safety design risk management.
• Review and support the development of the Design Risk Register and produce Building Control Trackers.
• Ensure smooth handover of duties upon completion or early termination of PD appointment.
• Deliver BSA and BR workshops to Clients, Design teams and Contractors
Qualifications and Experience:
• A degree in Building Control, Building Surveying, Architecture, or Construction Engineering.
• Solid understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and current Approved Documents.
• Experience preparing Gateway 1–3 submissions under the BSR framework.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in design compliance or regulatory roles.

Architectural Technologist – Trainee Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) required to join a RIBA-chartered architectural practice, renowned for its strong reputation in the commercial sector. They undertake a wide range of projects involving various building types. Their diverse portfolio includes developments in distribution and industrial sectors, cinemas, hotels, leisure facilities, retail units, residential schemes and conservation, refurbishment and regeneration projects.
You will work closely with architects and technicians, providing support and assistance in fulfilling and documenting their responsibilities as designers and principal designers under the revised Building Regulations.
Supporting architects and technicians, your duties will include:
Providing guidance and support in fulfilling designer and principal designer responsibilities under the Building Regulations for both HRB and non-HRB projects.
Developing, implementing and managing processes, strategies and documentation to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations.
Addressing Building Regulations design queries and actively contributing to collaborative, solution-focused outcomes
Qualifications.
A relevant degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field, or experience gained via an apprenticeship.
Experience
