Do you have a Commercial Finance background looking for an enterprising new role?
As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will form an integral part of the team responsible for the pricing and financials on some of our most significant tenders for new business. This is a business-critical role where you will work with almost all departments of Sopra Steria to support tenders with values ranging up to £100+million. There is regular contact with senior management and exposure to a wide range of customers and services across both public and private sectors.
To be successful in this role you will come from a financial background, with strong interpersonal communication skills, an example being an ability to illustrate and explain financial scenarios to finance and non-finance people alike.
This is a Hybrid-Variable role with occasional travel to either our London or Hemel Hempstead site, meaning you will be required to be in the office no more than 3 days per month.
What you'll be doing:
- Participating in assessments of the target price for each tender
- Engaging with various teams across the business to efficiently collate, validate, understand, analyse, challenge and present the costs and assumptions underpinning the pricing model for each tender
- Presenting income statements, balance sheets and cash flow analysis for our tenders to key partners
- Communicating regularly with key partners including the Commercial Finance Director
- Preparing and presenting alternative pricing options and scenarios
- Assisting with the Sopra Steria tender governance process - providing financial information and responding to actions where required
- Financial handover of successful tenders to the delivery and support teams
- Assisting the delivery and finance teams with financial queries on live contracts
What you'll bring:
- Finance related degree and/or Accountancy qualification – part or fully qualified with ACA, CIMA or ACCA
- Sophisticated numeracy, including ability to model scenarios and sensitivities
- Strong excel skills
- Strong verbal and written presentation and communication skills
- Responding positively to tight deadlines, while being mindful of standards

- Awareness of IT/BPO projects and services
- Experience of working on projects or bidding in a financial capacity
