The IT Coordinator is responsible for managing IT activities and projects in alignment with the group IT strategy and policies. This role works as a business partner with the Group CIO and the local teams and oversees the IT resource and suppliers in the country. The IT & Business Systems Officer also ensures compliance with the regulations and standards of the medical devices market.
The primary location is the Head Office in Leeds, with some travel required both within the UK and occasionally internationally.
Qualifications, experience & skills required for the role
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the medical devices industry.
- Project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
- Proficient in Microsoft environment, including Windows, Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders and teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the IT resource and suppliers in the country, ensuring quality, efficiency, and security of the IT services and solutions.
- Coordinate the IT projects and activities in the country, following the group IT recommendations and best practices.
- Work as a business partner with the group CIO and the local teams, understanding their needs and expectations, and providing IT support and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with the regulations and standards of the medical devices market, such as ISO 13485, FDA, and MDR.
- Monitor and report on the IT performance and budget in the country, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends and innovations in the medical devices industry and propose solutions that add value to the business.
- Respond to ad hoc queries and provide support as directed by the CFO and/or Group CIO.

You will play a crucial role in providing and curating knowledge, information and data insights to support programme delivery, thus ensuring excellence in programme execution within the Logistics and Mission Support (LMS) division. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the London insurance market and regulatory requirements, combined with technical expertise to support product development and innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
This role will foster strong business relationships with business leaders, understanding the processes and system changes to support business growth and operating efficiency.
The role will coordinate cross-functional efforts and enhance application usability. The role will be responsible for liaising between business SMEs and the internal technology team to deliver system enhancements and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse system requirements and design solutions to improve operating efficiency and support the business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, testing and business SMEs, to define product requirements and prioritize features.
- Creating and managing users stories within Azure Dev Ops.
- Collaborating between the product team and business SMEs to resolve issues and ensure solutions meet the business needs.
- Functional testing against the requirements created.
- Management of user acceptance testing and gaining sign-off from business SMEs.
- Understand the end-to-end processes in the London Market and how the system needs to support our client working within that environment.
- Provide configuration support in setting up environments to support the business.
- Partner with business SMEs to enhance usability and adoption of applications, driving user engagement.
- Act as a product evangelist, communicating product vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of business experience and experience with using Agile methodologies.
- Proven experience working within the insurance industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
