Due to a busy period we are supporting our client, a high profile legal firm, as they look to appoint a Legal Cashier for a period of six months initially.
This office-based, 35hrs per week role will offer excellent exposure to a fast-paced commercial environment and the chance to liaise with fee earners and other teams across the business. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth financial operation of case closures and billing processes.
Ideally, you'll have had experience working within a law firm in a similar role. However, applications from individuals who combine billing/cashiering experience in a professional services environment with some legal/conveyancing knowledge will also be considered.
Duties:
- Assisting with financial data and processes linked to the firm’s internal case tracking system li>Reviewing and interpreting matter balances to support accurate and efficient file finalisation
- Communicating effectively with legal teams and other internal departments to resolve finance-related queries
- Preparing and submitting payment instructions for processing by the finance department
