Who we are
Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.
We’re building a different kind of company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look to how they sound, feel, and function, we care about the details that make technology not just useful, but inspiring.
This is a place for the curious. The creators. The ones who ask why not and mean it. If you're drawn to bold ideas, fast moves, and work that actually makes you feel something, you’ll fit right in.
We're not here to follow the rules. We're here to make better ones.
About Nothing
Founded in London in 2020, Nothing is a design-led tech company building an alternative to the industry giants. Our products – from award-winning smartphones to expressive audio and wearables – blend iconic design with intuitive engineering to put people and creativity back at the centre of consumer tech.
Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, C Ventures, and influential investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’ve grown from startup to global challenger in just a few years.
The Role:
We’re looking for an ambitious and determined strategic mind to join our team in London as Chief of Staff. You’ll partner with our CEO to manifest the Nothing vision into reality, with a focus on operations and implementation of the vision and strategy. The Chief of Staff will be entrusted to use their expertise to step in whenever needed to put out short term fires as we build world class organisational capabilities. Your role will have you assisting and communicating with executives in decision-making, program management and initiative implementation.
You will oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads. In an ever evolving, rapidly growing business, you will be a key player in reviewing, designing and executing improvements to organisational structure - you will seek out knowledge and skills gaps and bring solutions to address them. The Chief of Staff will strive to improve current processes and optimise organisational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Own the strategic partnership to leadership, stepping in to establish new teams, launch high-impact initiatives, and ensure smooth execution across diverse projects.
- Streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management as well as company’s strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation.
- Guide teams and streamline processes to drive alignment, productivity, and results
- This role requires someone who can quickly adapt to shifting priorities, build structure from ambiguity, and connect the dots across functions to drive results.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of proven success in a business management role, with exposure to executive-levels
- Experienced in planning and leading strategic initiatives as well as data analysis and budget management.
- Comfortable working across different cultural contexts
- Strong project management skills, able to effectively multitask and prioritise.
- Experience at tier-1 management consulting or investment banking firms preferred.
- Passion for tech products and understands what it takes to bring a start-up to the next level.
- Bachelor’s degree (or above) in business administration or similar field preferred.
- Ability to travel 25% of the year
