An international law firm are growing their construction practice, with the hire of an associate, to focus primarily on contentious construction matters, alongside a portion of non-contentious advisory work
Nationally, the team are 33 strong and are recognised for contentious and non-contentious work with an international client base which includes developers, funders, consultants, UK and European based contractors and sub-contractors.
This role will suit someone with at least 1 year's PQE in a contentious construction role, ideally with a recognised national or international law firm

We are working with a leading international law firm in London for an Associate to join their growing Construction team.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a dedicated and passionate Construction team. The candidate will engage with a variety of challenging contentious and non-contentious matters, such as real estate transactions, investment and real estate funds, landlord and tenant matters, environment and sustainability, and construction.
The candidate will play a key role in advising a broad spectrum of clients on issues such as acquisitions, disposals, new leases and surrenders, licences and general management matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 5+ years’ PQE;
- Strong background within a leading firm with a reputable Construction team. Experience with energy & utilities, IT infrastructure and telecoms highly desirable;
- In-depth understanding of non-contentious construction law and engineering projects;
- Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
- Strong academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Excellent negotiation skills;
- Experience with building client relationships and keen interest in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
