Construction Estimator / Quantity Surveyor(Domestic refurbishments and extensions)

Location: Liskeard

Salary: 45-60k plus perks

My client, an established builder, have an opportunity for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their team who specialise in domestic refurbishments and extensions.

Responsibilities:

• Preparingaccurate bids and estimates for domestic refubishment and extensions
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Develop and maintain databases of costs, prices, and productivity rates

You will need:

• Experience pricing estimated for refurbishment work and extensions
• Proficiency in estimating software, Causeway, Microsoft Project and MS Office
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Start date 23/09/2025  

• Rates: £25 per hour, all hours

• Lodge: £45 per night worked lodge allowance  

• Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth 

• Duration: minimum 4 weeks

• Working hours: 5-7 days a week. 10hrs a day Monday - Friday. Saturday and Sunday 6 - 8 hours depending on client support. 

• Weekly pay    

• Local office with a dedicated account manager    

• BPSS or SC for Devonport Dockyard must already be obtained
• CISRS must be at least 3 months in date  

• Drug and alcohol testing as part of induction   

• Start date 23/09/2025  

• Rates: £20 per hour, all hours

• Lodge: £45 per night worked lodge allowance  

• Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth 

• Duration: minimum 4 weeks

• Working hours: 5-7 days a week. 10hrs a day Monday - Friday. Saturday and Sunday 6 - 8 hours depending on client support.

• Background as a Graduate or Trainee Site Engineer.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with various contract types, including NEC and JCT.
• Ideally, experience working in secure environments (e.g. prisons), with existing or eligible security clearance.
