We have a new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Special Projects team within Vistry Services, based at our Brentwood office with travel to sites, as required. As our Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to our projects. Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. This will also include procurement, Procurement Tracker, Recovery, CVRs, Cash Flows, subcontract management inclusive of administration of the contract, monthly payments, and final account settlement.

- Building Safety Act works desirable
- Working closely with other departments, including Development and Construction, you will attend design meetings to advise on all areas that may have a cost implication.
- Attend development meetings when appropriate, contract pre-start and subcontract package review meetings.
- Upon receipt of Contract Documentation, you will be responsible for checking all contract drawings to identify errors, omissions, anomalies and areas where unnecessary cost may arise.
- Receive initial tender information and assist in the preparation of the proposed tender lists and updating of subsequent procurement programmes.
- Distribute design information packages and tender drawings, whilst preparing all tender documentation and letters including carrying out preliminary checks on subcontractors and preparing & closely monitoring Procurement Trackers.
- Preparing construction cost analysis, which includes analysis of quotations resulting from the tender enquiry, requesting additional and outstanding information as required.
- Assess site staffing levels and build programmes with the Construction Director to ascertain preliminary costs, including collating all cost information and preparing the start on site budget.
- Arrange and adjudicate budget settlement meetings, with the support of the wider Commercial team.
- Prepare stage payment schedules to assist in the financing of the works.
- Carry out pre-order meetings including all necessary Health & Safety requirements, finalising a tender sum and agreeing a stage payment schedule for payment purposes before preparing all contract documentation and placing the order.
- Place subcontractor orders, including interviews and checking references on selected subcontractors. You will then negotiate the contract sum within the budget, including finalising costs to cover all late variations.
- Issue variation orders and development changes alongside providing cost advice on major variations prior to issue. You will issue revised contract drawings to subcontractors; negotiating the cost of variations including liaising between Buyers and Build Managers. You will provide a full range of pricing information for purchaser’s extras.
- Check all costs posted to each contract, collate and reconcile all costs resulting from subcontract works, variation orders, site instructions, material order and preliminary / running costs. This will include providing monthly analysis of costs and identify possible areas of over expenditure at future dates.
- Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorisation for passing payments for all elements of subcontractor works. You will agree final accounts with subcontractors, ensuring all works have been carried out within budget and analysing costs to assist on future estimates.
- Take responsibility for the preparation of documents for the basis of external valuation with the client’s agent (CSA, Stage payment schedule, Tick offs).
- Liaise with the Customer Service department on post-completion defects, providing cost advice where necessary.
- Attend site meetings, project team meetings, subcontractor meetings and surveying meetings as required.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager to support the wider teams, i.e. Procurement Tracker, Recovery, CVRs and Cash Flows.

Job Summary
- A key role within Taylor Wimpey London with operational oversight of the London medium to high-rise projects.

Job Summary
Our regional commercial teams are integral to the successful delivery of every Taylor Wimpey project.
This role is an opportunity to become part of a dynamic team assisting with procurement, commercial and contractual aspects of the BU. The role entails interfacing with all staff involved in the project including, but not limited to, BUMT, site teams, subcontractors, external suppliers and JV / Development partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Scheduling and quantifying materials and labour
- Ensure that commercial procedures comply with both the TW Commercial Manual and the TW Operating Framework.
- Work alongside other departments to ensure project viability and improve cost effectiveness.
- Ensure all specifications and programmes are complied with and that quality is not compromised.
- Process applications and payments and resolve any issues in conjunction with the Finance Department.
Commercial Management
- Assist in WIP and cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs, which relate to shared cost items with either other businesses within the Group or external Companies.
- Calculate all the prime costs on developments within your remit, reporting any movements in the costs since the preparation of the funding exercise.
- Assist in the preparation of Project Budgets for authorisation by the Business Unit Management Team at the appropriate time.
- Maintain the development budget both in Coins and BoQ.
- Manage RSL valuations and attend meetings on site.
Monitor and report costs
- Monitor and explain all cost movements within the project valuation.
- Responsibility for processing Contractor, subcontractor and consultant orders and payments, variation orders and day works.
- Review any variations on 3rd Party projects and liaise with Technical Project Manager for approvals.
- Undertake site valuations of production at budgeted cost on a monthly basis.
- Carry out full CVR process and prepare and present information for monthly finance meetings.
- Create Cost to Completes and ensure Current budget is up to date.
- Forecast final accounts and prepare and present cost to complete reports.
General
- Be aware of all codes of practice that impact on estimating e.g. Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE etc.
- Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with either other businesses within the group or external Companies.
- Attend Pre-Start, Pre-Tender, specification and any other relevant meetings as required.
- Input and maintain any computer-based databases or systems including Coins and Excel.
- Attend site on a regular basis to complete Commercial functions.
- Any other duties as required by the Senior Commercial Manager.

- Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health and Safety requirements.

As a Security Architect you’ll take responsibility for supporting the design and delivery of secure solutions across a range of IT and business initiatives. The Security Architect will produce clear and concise documentation, maintaining alignment to internal governance processes and you’ll take accountability for the accuracy and relevance of your security designs and advice.

Who you are
You will have strong technical knowledge of cloud security controls and experience contributing to cloud transformation programmes, particularly with AWS, including cloud-native services, identity architecture and platform-level controls.
You’ll have proven experience of delivering security architecture or security design across a variety of IT projects, ideally within large, complex, or regulated environments such as critical infrastructure, defence, government, or large-scale enterprise.
You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security topics into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels. You’ll bring a pragmatic mindset to problem-solving, balancing ideal security outcomes with business priorities.
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in risk assessment, threat modelling, security control selection, and integrating Secure by Design principles into technical delivery. You’ll also have experience working within Agile and DevSecOps environments, including CI/CD pipeline security and secure coding awareness.

RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will:
Deliver a wide range of professional building surveying services, including project management, dilapidations, technical due diligence, and defect analysis.
Manage and lead client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to achieve client objectives.
Contribute to business development through networking and identifying new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have:
MRICS qualification with a strong track record of success in building surveying.
Excellent knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and industry standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
A commitment to continuous professional development.

Being a maintenance worker in our school means being part of something big. You'll be doing your bit to make sure the school building is a great place to be for our young people.
Get out what you put in
You'll do all the general, day-to-day repairs needed to keep our school up and running, drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order, as well as making sure the school grounds and garden are kept neat and tidy. You'll also be a familiar, friendly face, this means our young people will sometimes stop to chat to you so we'll give you some training on child safeguarding to give you that extra confidence!

Luxborough Court School is a brand-new, purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5 - 19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. There is a large sports hall with changing facilities (the site was formally a Premier League football club's training ground), a bespoke 6th form suite plus a number of other smaller individual spaces used for therapeutic intervention and bespoke support. The School benefits from extensive outdoor space plus a large central courtyard garden in the centre of the school and separate secondary and junior playgrounds, with a multi-use games area.
There are good public transport connections with Chigwell Station less than a mile away, providing Central Line Tube services to London and Essex. The road links are good - the site is located near the M11, Junction 4.

We’re looking for a Senior Surveyor to deliver a high-quality and responsive surveying service, keeping our customers safe and at the heart of everything we do. A typical day for you would include carrying out detailed property inspections, responding to customer queries, managing, and supervising projects, and building confident, collaborative working relationships across the business.
You’ll have experience of surveying within a social housing or residential property environment, and of building maintenance & diagnostic techniques. With a relevant technical qualification, you’ll work within health & safety legislation to diagnose defects, produce reports and keep customers informed, delivering projects on time and in budget.
