**Job Description**
Key Responsibilities:
**Liaison and Communication:**
+ Act as the primary point of contact between the project team, National Grid, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.
+ Ensure effective communication channels are maintained for seamless project execution.
**Subcontractor Management:**
+ Oversee the performance and compliance of subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
+ Conduct regular site inspections and meetings with customer and subcontractors to address any coordination aspects and promote best practices.
**Documentation and Compliance:**
+ Ensure all site paperwork, including Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs) and drawings, are accurately maintained and updated.
+ Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
**Project Coordination:**
+ Collaborate with project engineers and other site management personnel to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
+ Assist in the planning and scheduling of site activities to optimise efficiency.
**Reporting:**
+ Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project progress, challenges, and resource needs.
+ Prepare and submit necessary documentation for project reviews and audits.
**Must-have requirements:**
+ **National Grid Competent Person.**
+ Proven experience in site management within the transmission and distribution sector, typically gained in 5/7 years of experience
+ Advanced understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Valid driver license.
+ Knowledge on mechanical and electrical installation.
**Nice-to-have requirements:**
+ Valid TP137/SR163 qualification.
+ Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
+ Experience working with the National Grid and large-scale infrastructure projects.
+ First Aid at work qualified.

**About the Opportunity**
Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. **The Project**
Box Encapsulation Plant Product Store (BEPPS2) is a PPP Major Project to design and construct a new mechanical handling waste storage facility that will safely store waste packages for many years to come. The project status is currently at detailed design.
**The Role **
BEPPS2 now has an exciting opportunity to recruit a ** BIM Manager** to join the team in Birchwood, Warrington.
As a **BIM Manager** your responsibilities could include:
+ Capturing client requirements and developing BIM strategies to meet those requirements.
+ Managing the roll out and implementation of the key BIM documentation within a client organisation, across a programme of works and at project level.
+ Interfacing with clients, design teams and contractors implementing BIM methodologies and best practice from strategy level through to project delivery.
+ The ability to lead & manage a small team, in a Multidiscipline environment.
+ Conducting structured check, review and validation procedures of project models including clash detection and validation of data against information requirements .
As a **BIM Manager** you will have:
+ An Understanding of the emerging technology market that can support our clients & delivery.
+ An understanding of international BIM standards which define BIM in accordance with ISO 19650.
+ A working knowledge of the creation and maintenance of key BIM documentation.
+ A working knowledge of the roles and relationships associated with a BIM enabled project.

You will lead our rail estimating function and play a pivotal role in our client facing commercial team as part of our leading 'Project Management Commercial Management (PMCM) Rail' Group. Your role will include Estimating, Cost Planning, Procurement and Cost Assurance of projects ranging in size and complexity working for a variety of internal and external clients.
Your principal role will be to deliver cost estimates and lead the development of our rail estimating team.

You will join a specialist estimating focussed team ranging in Commercial and Project Management experience from early career professionals to colleagues with over two decades of knowledge. You will be part of our "Project Management and Commercial Management Team" made up of approximately 400 colleagues across the UK. This team provides Estimating/Cost and Commercial Management, Programme and Project Management and Project Controls services to deliver both Rail and Infrastructure projects for public and private clients.

**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ Rail Estimating experience and knowledge of measurement methods such as the Rail Method of Measurement (RMM1), Method of Measurement for Highway Works (MMHW) and the Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement (CESMM4).
+ Relevant educational background
+ Good technical writing, client facing and communication skills
+ Ability to demonstrate applicable knowledge, ability and experience around some Estimating/Cost and Commercial competencies required by relevant professional institutions.
+ Estimating software experience and knowledge in, for example, CostX and CANDY.
+ Bottom-up estimating experience from 1st principles.
