The Role
- Assist in the development of new manufacturing processes, in line with Engineering Plans and Budgets, ensuring technical solutions and processes are robust, timely, cost-effective and meet Customer expectations
- Implementation and validation of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assignments to new machinery
- Assist in the specification and qualify new equipment, often working with suppliers to meet tight deadlines. Ensure all process equipment meets regulatory and safety standards
- To conduct and document Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) in relation to SIL
- To support and contribute to FMEA's, PFMEA's, DFMEA;s, RCM studies in support of SIL activities
- Modifying PLC/HMI/SCADA programs and other programmable devices.
- Commissioning newly installed controls systems in accordance with the agreed technical specifications
