The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the onboarding and credit assessment of institutional counterparties (exchanges, market makers, hedge funds, brokers).
- Monitor daily exposures and assist with counterparty credit risk reporting .
- Support in setting and reviewing credit limits , escalation processes, and collateral requirements.
- Work with senior analysts to assess liquidity, market, and operational risks associated with counterparties.
- Contribute to the development of risk models, policies, and procedures .
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, trading, and compliance teams to ensure effective risk controls.
- Produce management information (MI) and present insights to stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for someone ambitious, detail-oriented, and passionate about financial markets. Previous experience in digital assets isn’t essential but an interest in the crypto ecosystem will set you apart.
Essential skills/experience:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Maths, or a related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in risk, credit analysis, operations, or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
- Knowledge of financial statements, credit metrics, or counterparty risk.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Desirable skills:
- Exposure to crypto, blockchain, or fintech.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with wholesale markets or institutional counterparties.

THE ROLE
- Development of a range of models including scorecards and pricing models
- Implementation of models to enhance business performance and explore new data techniques
- Portfolio reviews and deep dives as necessary to understand customer trends
- Broader data analysis to enhance and develop lending strategy and profitability
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in the credit risk space – they are open to people with modelling experience OR strategy work with model exposure
- Essential to have had experience in retail lending (e.g. Credit Cards, Loans, Motor)
- Essential to have experience using SQL
- Educated to at least degree level in a numerate degree
