About The Role
The Corporate Development function at Flutter is mandated to develop and implement the company's global expansion strategy and supports the most critical corporate initiatives within the organisation. What You'll Do

  • Source, evaluate, and implement non-organic opportunities on a global scale, including M&A.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the worldwide betting and gaming sector, rivals, and market trends.
  • All aspects of investment appraisal including, working closely with divisional colleagues, developing the strategic rationale for action, unearthing novel and pertinent data sources and analysis to test that rationale, and communicating clearly internally those findings;
  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate intricate strategic projects from inception to conclusion, uniting cross-functional and cross-regional customers to accomplish desired goals.
  • Assess the value creation potential of prospective deals by assessing what synergies Flutter can achieve through acquisition of an asset;
  • Develop intricate financial models from scratch for the preparation of business cases, valuing assets and financial impact analysis;
  • Perform detailed financial analyses, including valuations (DCF, comparable companies, transactions), cash flow, and credit analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver internal presentations for senior team members within Flutter and its divisions;
  • Complete transaction processes rigorously, including due diligence, valuation, term sheet negotiation, advisor coordination, and oversight of legal documentation.
  • Strengthen the Corporate Development team by actively supporting recruitment, training, and development of team members into high-performing colleagues.

  • ACA qualified with 5-7 years of experience, including M&A advisory, ideally from a big 4 firm or similar.

We are seeking a competent Corporate Development Manager to source M&A targets, negotiate and implement integration plans. The candidate will be working within a global team with US, Europe and APAC corporate development colleagues to find innovative businesses, cross-comparing global technology, to bring into the company. Some partnerships may start with license in or codevelopment and evolve into M&A.

  • Source and evaluate BD&L, M&A opportunities in life sciences tools, reagents and instruments, especially in bioprocessing, CMC
  • Strategize implementation and incubation plans
  • Conduct market & technical due diligence, and draft investment memos
  • Develop market competitive landscape analysis on cutting-edge technology in biotechnology field,
  • Communicate with internal departments, negotiate and structure key terms with strategic partners.


Qualification:

  • B.S. in biotechnology or life sciences related discipline required. PhD or advanced degrees preferred.
  • Multi-year life sciences tools BD&L, M&A, banking or startup experiences
  • Exposure to financial modeling preferred though not required
  • Fundamental understanding of drug discovery and development process
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion to positively promote and drive success on company initiatives
  • Deep understanding of the local innovation ecosystem
