Our Public Sector Business Unit is growing strongly, and we are looking for experienced pre-sales solution directors to join the team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are capable of working at pace: rapidly getting up to speed with new requirements and shaping compelling, innovative and differentiated solutions for our customers.
You will ideally have a background in the Public Sector, preferably for a consultancy or systems integrator, and have successfully led solution aspects of bid responses, presentations and customer discussions. You will be a strong communicator, capable of generating written material of extremely high quality and presenting confidently. You will be comfortable with a wide range of technologies and solution types with a perspective that is broad rather than deep in any specific area. You will have a strong commercial understanding and be able to balance financial and budgetary constraints with customer aspirations. You will be used to working a fast-changing environment, forming new teams quickly, bringing organisation and structure where there is ambiguity and building strong working relationships.
**What you'll be doing:**
You will be responsible for leading the pre-sales activity; typically as part of a formal procurement (e.g. RFx) or in support of a proactive campaign. You will be pivotal to the response, responsible for delivering an integrated solution and a coordinated delivery plan across all technology domains and business practices. You will be authoring your own content, as well as orchestrating and aligning content from across the business. You'll lead the generation of thought leadership, and be capable of developing innovative propositions that will differentiate us within the market.
Your primary objectives will be to:
+ quickly distil customer needs or goals into a simple vision and story board that can act as a central pivot for the pre-sales team
+ author creative and persuasive pre-sales content and thought leadership
+ lead solution aspects of client pitches and negotiations
+ collate, orchestrate, and refine content to create a cohesive solution and delivery model
+ use your experience to influence and challenge the solutions we present
+ promote and develop pre-sales governance and best practices
+ build and leverage a wide senior-level network to navigate the global delivery organisation
+ develop capability; building momentum across the organisation to create a virtual team of creative content-writers, with great communication skills and strong commercial awareness
+ develop close relationships with key customer stakeholders, influencing and supporting our clients' technical strategies
+ optimise knowledge; creating quality content that can be reused, building continual improvement into our knowledge estate and pre-sales assets

**Education and Experience**
+ 10+ years of technical delivery experience on complex engagements, at least some of which has been within the UK Public Sector
+ Sales or pre-sales experience, either in a direct presale / sales role or as part of meeting management responsibilities
+ The ability to build effective teams, recognising people's strengths and weaknesses and establishing the right environment for growth
+ Excellent knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle and in delivery of software products
+ Experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework, GDS Service Standard, Jira & Confluence
+ Understanding of architectural concepts, across application, cloud infrastructure, data, and integration
+ Experience in managed services or operational environments (such as defining service architectures) would also be advantageous

As a Community Safety Advisor with Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, you'll be at the heart of our mission to protect and support the communities of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
This dynamic role focuses on delivering targeted fire safety education, prevention initiatives, and health and welfare advice, to help reduce the risk and impact of fire across the region.
You'll work closely with residents' areas such as private homes, supported living, sheltered accommodation, and more, to identify fire risks and implement practical solutions.
From conducting Home Fire Safety Visits and installing safety equipment, to supporting youth inclusion and early intervention programmes, your work will make a meaningful difference every day.
You'll also collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including local authorities, emergency services, and community groups, to ensure a joined-up approach to safety and wellbeing.

We are working with a prominent local authority in central London to appoint an experienced Community Safety Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team. This is a key leadership role focused on reducing crime, anti-social behaviour (ASB), and public safety concerns across the borough.
This role would suit an established community safety or ASB manager with a strong track record in local authorities or housing associations. You'll need demonstrable team leadership skills and a deep understanding of partnership working, community engagement, and local-area safety strategies.
The position is hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office at least two to three days per week.
The Role
·Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team delivering community safety, ASB, and environmental crime prevention services
·Develop and implement strategic plans to tackle crime, disorder, and public nuisance across the area
·Build and manage strong multi-agency partnerships with police, health, housing, voluntary sector, and community stakeholders
·Oversee case management and enforcement activity, including Injunctions, Community Protection Notices, and Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs)
·Monitor performance metrics and deliver continuous service improvements
·Engage with local residents, businesses, and elected members through consultations, meetings, and outreach
·Manage budgets, grant funding, and commissioning related to community safety initiatives
·Provide strategic advice and briefings to senior leadership, members, and external partners
Key Requirements
·Significant experience managing a community safety, ASB, or public protection team
·Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement tools (e.g. ASB Crime & Policing Act, PSPOs, CCTV)
·Proven ability to lead multi-agency projects and build effective partnerships
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
·Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform and evaluate strategy
·Local authority background preferred; experienced candidates from housing associations will also be considered

Overall Purpose of Job:
- Support the Community Safety and Corporate Resilience Manager to deliver the Newham Safety Partnership priorities to reduce crime and fear of crime, to respond to hate crime, modern day slavery and prevent, as well as other emerging priorities.
- To lead on projects, programmes and problem solving processes to effectively improve community safety and reduce crime, working closely with partner agencies responsible for direct service delivery and drawing on best practice and local and national policy.
- The post holder will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of specific projects, tasks and community safety initiatives, both for the Council and for the Newham Safety Partnership (NSP), as directed by the Community Safety and Corporate Resilience Manager.

EXPERIENCE:
- Significant experience developing and maintaining effective partnerships, working in collaboration with statutory and non-statutory partners to achieve shared objectives.
- Experience working directly with victims, witnesses and/or the community and the demonstrated ability to devise, coordinate and implement multi-agency and victim-led action plans to enhance safety and reduce re-victimisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of local government service provision and experience of multi-agency and partnership working and liaison.
* Knowledge, experience and understanding of policy, practice and legislation relating to crime, hate crime, modern day slavery, prevent, serious violence and crime prevention.
* An understanding of the importance of community engagement in improving the safety and security of, and improving the levels of confidence in, localities, and through what means this can be achieved.
