For our Data Centre Segment regional Sales team we are looking for a Data Center Electrical Design Engineer.
In this role, you will provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative electrical solutions.
Location: hybrid working solutions are available for Greater London area.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of LV, MV, UPS, energy storage and other applicable Data Centre electrical systems and solutions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including D&B, engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure the successful implementation of electrical projects.
+ Conduct detailed technical analyses and provide recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.
+ Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in electrical design.
+ Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical design and implementation.
+ Working with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements and building codes.
+ Defining project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
+ Assist in developing, managing and maintaining the Consultant's & Client's CPD Programme with regular, consistent engagement
+ Drive innovation and push boundaries in Eaton's Data Centres design offering by staying up-to-date with the latest research, industry trends and technologies.
+ This an external facing role and the candidate will be representing Eaton as an Industry solutions expert. The person needs to develop trusted and influential relationships with Clients, Consultants, Partners and Industry peers.
+ Contribute & Support marketing campaigns & activities that can promote Eaton to Client relations and business
+ Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
+ Traveling to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
+ Minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and development.
+ Strong technical background in electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and automation.
+ Excellent understanding of the European Electrical Codes coupled with detailed understanding of critical LV and MV electrical equipment industry standards and regulations.
+ Proven track record of solving complex technical challenges and driving innovation.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design.

What the day will look like
Commercial Strategy Development: Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to expand Aon's client base and enhance data coverage across Europe for the Radford McLagan Database. This includes identifying potential markets, leveraging industry networks, and developing tailored compensation solutions that address regional needs and trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and establish Aon as a leader in compensation consulting across diverse sectors.
Data Analysis & Insights u2013 Utilise data analytics to build market compensation trends within each sector. Translate large datasets into actionable insights and providing clients with a clear understanding of their market positioning.
Benchmarking & Market Research u2013 Conduct comprehensive benchmarking studies on the qualitative mechanics of compensation plans and broader HR topics across EMEA. Provide insights and recommendations on salary structures, bonuses and equity that align with the latest trends and best practices in across the sectors.
Client Engagement u2013 Build and maintain strong relationships with EMEA clients, understanding their unique challenges and tailoring compensation solutions to meet their specific needs. Deliver presentations and reports to client groups that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations to the tech & general industry community.
Market Intelligence u2013 Stay informed about the latest developments in each sector. Including emerging roles, skills in demand and shifting compensation trends. Share insights with clients to help them stay ahead in attracting and retaining talent.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Proven experience in compensation consulting with a focus on data advisory and benchmarking for the professional services, retail, manufacturing, tech, pharma/life sciences industries
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data modelling, statistical analysis and Excel.
In-depth knowledge of compensation practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
