Role Profile

This is a delivery focused role designed to support the governance, risk, and dayto day delivery operations of the Markets Platform. The Project Manager will work closely with the Business Management Lead and senior stakeholders across business and technology to coordinate governance reporting, manage risk processes, and produce high quality programme materials.

You'll also provide practical support across people data, headcount tracking, and strategic workforce planning.

The role sits at platform level and plays a critical role in keeping the wider programme aligned, on track, and compliant with internal delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Support: Day-to-day support to the Business Management Lead and platform leads across business and technology, structured coordination across risk, governance, and delivery planning. Ensure quality control of submissions for Executive and Platform forums.
  • Governance & Delivery Reporting: Own the production and timely submission of governance packs, status reports, and QBR materials, coordinate and maintain logs for actions, risks, and decision points tied to key platform initiatives. Ensure JIRA (or tooling equivalent) is maintained accurately to reflect real-time programme status.
  • Risk & Audit Administration: Support the platform leadership on risk-related activities including audit responses and control tracking, support the Divisional Resilience and Security Office where applicable to ensure alignment.   • Workforce Data & People Activity: Maintain headcount trackers and support preparation of people data for platform leads, help track strategic workforce planning commitments across the year and coordinate any process changes tied to productivity or operating model shifts.
  • Change & Operating Model Support : Provide structured input into operating model reviews, platform transitions, or wider divisional change activities. Act as a sounding board for identifying process inefficiencies or control gaps
  • Financial & Operational Reporting: Support preparation of materials related to programme costs, budget position, and platform investment asks. Help produce structured reporting for BRP, QBR and platform level planning exercises.

Skills & Experience:

  • Governance & Compliance: Track record in enforcing governance frameworks, working across complex delivery plans, and ensuring documentation standards are met. You understand how to keep things compliant without making them bureaucratic.
  • PMO Controls & Challenge: Strong experience managing end-to-end PMO controls (RAID, stage gates, resource planning, risk logs) with the confidence to challenge when deliverables or quality slip.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working across business, technology, finance, and risk stakeholders.
  • Strong user of Excel
  • Strong PowerPoint capability - clear storytelling, formatting and exec readability
  • Experience in JIRA / JIRA Align, and basic knowledge of Power BI
  • Exposure to Microsoft Project or similar planning tools is useful
  • Proven experience supporting senior leaders in complex change environments, preferably within financial services
  • Working knowledge of risk frameworks, governance models, and platform delivery lifecycle
  • Familiarity with financial planning, budget tracking, and audit preparation is beneficial

**Quality Control**

**Change Management**
+ Responsible to run a standardised CBRE formal change control process in conjunction with the client system for the local site and where needed, the wider portfolio. Ensure proper preparation, work procedures and documentation, notifications, follow-through activities and exception handling are in place for maintenance activities.
**Process Analysis and Design**
+ Responsible for representing the site for the analysis and design of all critical environments programs.
+ Drive the continuous improvement of Energy performance for the site and where needed across the portfolio.
**Critical Environment Risk Management**
+ Ensure the CERMTM methodology is embedded across the Site. Form part of CMT (Crisis Management Team),
+ Attend to and take all necessary action, statutory or otherwise, in the event of incidents and take such action as may be appropriate.
+ Be prepared to undertake investigations of incidents or accidents to ensure impartial and Technical Advice and direction to ensure as far as possible the incident or accident does not occur again.

**What's the Role?**
A Senior Data Management Professional (DMP) is a key role within our organization responsible for providing domain expertise in both financial concepts and annotation program management, to the development of our AI products. These individuals act as proactive technical leaders by setting the framework in achieving quality and consistency in the evaluation and training datasets for models that power our AI-enhanced products, and delivering scalable governance in annotation program management across Bloomberg Data. Beyond governing data processes and being problem solvers, they are expected to transform the responsibilities of the team and scale the impact beyond what's possible today.
The role in the Data AI Annotation team covers all annotation program components in developing the evaluation and training of AI models at Bloomberg. Being responsible for the quality of the annotated data, and product quality will be a crucial part of the role, with key work spanning ownership around consensus management, adjudication, and instruction and task design. The team is a critical partner in ensuring the stability and growth of the company which relies on bringing new technology to customers with increased interests in Artificial Intelligence.
**We'll trust you to:**
+ Build strategies to analyze processes and data engineering questions to ensure our datasets are fit-for-purpose.
+ Safeguard the creation of high-quality training data for generative AI models in collaboration with the annotation project coordinator.
+ Collaborate on database schema design and configure ETL pipelines to onboard new data sets.
+ Leverage data annotation tools and platforms, including labeling software and data management systems to ensure quality.
+ Apply domain expertise to inform annotation decisions and ensure high-quality outputs.
+ Review and further improve annotation guidelines, and promote the development of standard processes in data annotation.
+ Rely upon data analysis skills to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and make informed decisions on annotation approaches.
+ Lead on problem-solving to resolve sophisticated annotation challenges and ensure data quality.
+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standard methodologies in data annotation and finance/news.
+ Be ready to take a hands-on role in project and product coordination when needed- with input from Technical specialist, Annotation manager and Senior annotators.
**You'll need to have:**
*Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
+ A bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Data Analytics and Data Science or other STEM related fields.
+ A minimum of four years of demonstrable experience in data management concepts such as data engineering, data quality and data modeling.
+ Demonstrable experience in Data Profiling/Analysis/Engineering using tools such as SQL and Python or R.
+ Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense or Splunk.
+ Past projects that involved owning financial datasets, or other demonstrable work with financial-market concepts.
+ Proficiency in discussing technical concepts and experience evaluating trade-offs in design with Engineering and Product.
+ Extensive experience in communicating results in a clear, concise manner using data visualization tools.
+ Consistent track record in taking a logical approach and applying critical thinking skills in order to address problems.
**We'd Love to See:**
+ DAMA CDMP or DCAM certifications.
+ Keen interest and familiarity with generative AI frameworks.
+ Understanding of the importance of high quality annotations.
+ Experience in using Bloomberg Data, Bloomberg Terminal, and/or enterprise financial data products.
+ Interest in solving problems and developing data-driven methodologies for high precision & high recall anomaly detection.
+ Past project experience using the Agile/Scrum project management methodology.

VIQU have partnered with a leading supply chain organisation who are looking to expand their data teams. The Data Engineering Manager will manage a team of eight to help with an on-going digital transformation. The ideal candidate will come from a technical background but has recently worked in a managerial role focused on mentoring, coaching, reviewing code, and standard setting. The role will focus on the development of the clients Databricks platform (AWS is preferred but open to Azure.GCP experience also), utilising Python and SQL, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, strategy development, cost optimisation and data governance frameworks. 

Job duties of the Data Engineering Manager: 

  • Manage a team of eight engineers, helping to mentor and coach the team.
  • Manage  the adoption of automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement a new delivery roadmap.
  • Contribute to the development of a new Databricks system in AWS (AWS experience is preferred but they are open to managers with Azure experience).

Requirements of the Data Engineering Manager:

  • 6+ years experience in a hands on data engineer role, with over a years recent experience in a managerial role, coaching similar sized teams.
  • Deep knowledge of the Databricks platform.
  • Hands on Python development experience.
  • SQL optimisation.
  • Experience with large scale data pipeline optimisation.
  • Experience with Streaming and Batch Spark workloads.
  • Strong people management skills.
