Summary

  • The UK/EMEA Demand Planner is responsible for the consensus demand plan within their scope and is accountable for the UWI demand plan for the UK/EMEA region. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, including senior leaders, to align on an accurate and unbiased forecast. Plan quality is measured by accuracy, bias, and change frequency, with targets set collaboratively based on past performance and process maturity. As Demand Planning is still evolving, this role will need to balance improving systems and processes with delivering high-quality plans. Timely and accurate forecasts are essential for internal teams, suppliers, B2B customers, and riders. This position reports to the SIOP Leader in Dayton, OH USA, with future potential for advancement as the function matures and the company grows.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the monthly consensus demand plan for assigned parts.
  • Review forecast accuracy and bias metrics; identify root causes and apply lessons learned.
  • Ensure accuracy of product lifecycle and other key planning master data.
  • Analyze historical data and apply basic statistical models to establish baseline forecasts.
  • Must demonstrate effective project management abilities, including setting timelines, managing resources, tracking progress, and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time and within scope.”
  • Lead Customer Demand Planning meetings to align forecasts with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management for the assigned region.
  • Research, generate and share business intelligence to communicate the demand plan to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and lead the monthly Demand Consensus Meeting, including data review and meeting facilitation.
  • Manage meeting documentation: agenda, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Participate in regional Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) meetings with Supply Planning.
  • Provide demand analytics to support purchasing decisions and commitments.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning to manage urgent lead time changes before system updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Continuous Improvement Projects

  • Serve as a key thought leader in standardizing and governing Plan-for-Every-Part master data.
  • Actively participate in Kaizen events focused on process improvement

Education And Experience

  • 3+ years of demand planning experience required as a Demand planner for a 1M+ units per year annual sales volume
  • Experience with outdoor wheeled or battery-operated products is ideal, not required

D emand Planner / Demand Planning / Demand Analyst / Materials Planner / Stock planner / Materials Analyst / Stock Analyst /supply chain planner /Supply chain analyst Demand Planner: We are seeking an ambitious and analytical Demand Planner with a logistics/distribution/supply chain background who has the ability to drive improvements, efficiency and simplification across a complex data sets (relating to stock/parts) to enable the business to manage and deliver on a major automotive supply chain contract across Europe. The Demand /Materials/Supply chain/Stock/Inventory Planner role will be working with stock/data that is related to automotive parts, tools, equipment and volumes for this business have increased by over 300% from 15,000 orders per year to over 60,000 in the past 12-18 months. The data sets are complex and post a number of mergers/acquisitions of other business they are now seeing that their ability to manage demand is complicated due to having multiple parts of the same item with different codes. The client needs an exceptional individual to come in initially and work with various tams to simplify the entire demand planning/stock/inventory function so that all of the same parts are put into single categories and they have a true reflection of their stock levels and ability to meet client demands, SLA's and stock management requirements (including seasonal trends etc). This role will develop into a Supply chain demand planning subject matter expert within the team and will play a pivotal role in the overall customer satisfaction and internal team success/satisfaction across this major contract. This role will work within an experienced team and will provide you with a long term and progressive career opportunity within this organisation. Additional work will include the analysis and production of regular reports and insight on the data to support the leadership, sales, warehouse and logistics teams. You will be able to build a picture of the demand challenges, issues, successes and seasonal trends to ensure there is a clear understanding of the data and trust in the data (both internally and externally) to ensure client demand is met across Europe; OEM's/Manufacturers/Dealerships/Workshops Demand Planner: Key skills needed:
  • trong Excel skills (intermediate/advanced) covering look ups, pivot tables etc.
  • Strong Data analysis, analytics and insight/reporting skills
  • ecommerce/ERP systems knowledge
  • Experience in demand planning/logistics/inventory or supply chain performance and ideally some experience of driving improvements/process efficiency/process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams/departments/leadership to solve data related demand/materials/stock/inventory challenges.
  • A methodical problem solver who loves to create simplified and efficient solutions within data.
  • A proactive approach to simplify and re-categorise a huge amount of legacy data that has duplicate parts/products under different order codes.
  • Hands on and willing/able to support with the wider logistics operations functions.
  • Desirable : Infor LN, Magento, or Zoho experience
