Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience
Working knowledge of Linux system administration

The Challenge

At HyperCIM, we are developing Compute-In-Memory (CIM) technology. Leveraging non-volatile memory for both storage and computation promises to slash power consumption by up to 95%. The Role

At HyperCIM, we prioritize software/hardware co-design to ensure seamless integration with current server infrastructures and software stacks. As a System Software Engineer at HyperCIM, you'll be at the heart of our co-processor design, specifying the critical abstraction layer between our hardware implementation and the compiler/frontend. We are looking for a highly motivated System Software Engineer to join our startup team and simulate the microarchitecture for our identified applications. You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of our hardware solutions within existing software ecosystems.

Role: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Backend/API Focus)
Salary: Up to £75,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday + BH, Company Bonus, Private Healthcare, Share Options, every other Friday off (compressed working)
Location: Remote-first – occasional meetups in London HQ / 9-day fortnight

What You’ll Bring
  • Deep experience in API and backend test automation
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript , with strong scripting and automation capability
  • Hands-on with tools like Postman, PyTest, Locust, K6 , or similar for load, performance & functional testing
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps , etc.
  • Comfortable working with NoSQL databases and validating backend data integrity
  • Skilled in test strategy, debugging, and collaborating closely with backend developers
  • Bonus: exposure to mobile or front-end testing with Appium or Selenium DevOps, GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

As an Associate QA Automation Engineer you will

We’re looking for motivated, curious and collaborative team members to help us deliver a game-changing roadmap of features with luxury-level performance and reliability. As an Associate QA Automation Engineer you will learn to build upon and maintain our automation framework using tools like Cypress & Maestro as well as supporting a squad deliver features to our Production website and apps.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining end-to-end test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript with tools such as Cypress & Maestro
  • Support the execution and reporting of automated test suites.
  • Learn and apply new testing tools and technologies under guidance from senior team members.
  • Collaborate on test plans for small features and contribute to test case creation.
  • Work closely with engineers to understand feature requirements and help validate implementations.
  • Participate in manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Join team ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to stay aligned with development progress.
  • Contribute to a positive testing culture by asking questions, sharing learnings, and supporting team quality goals.

About you

Skills & Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in QA or software testing, ideally with exposure to JavaScript-based automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, WebdriverIO, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitHub.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
  • Exposure to SQL and working with databases is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is beneficial.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to mobile app testing (iOS/Android) or accessibility testing.
  • Awareness of the eCommerce domain.
