About the Supply Chain Manager role
You’ll come into the Supply Chain Manager role managing spend more than £25m, you and your team will manage different category areas and varying customer requests. You’ll work closely with Warehouse, Logistics and Inventory to ensure warehousing space is available, that inventory is accurate and that we continue to be an agile and efficient partner for our customers. Service levels are fundamental to ensure we deliver on our customer commitments.
With procurement support, there is opportunity, lots of opportunity! We can increase our product and spend levels but how are you going to get us there?
This is the best element of this role, what system improvement experience can you bring, how can you navigate inventory challenges and how can you leverage the profile of this role across the business to gain more insights to inform your strategy.
You may be operating at lower level of spend currently where you are considering your next upwards move or are simply excited by the opportunity this role offers – either way we’d love to hear from you!
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
This is a site-based role with some flexibility to work from home.
What we're looking for in our Supply Chain Manager
- Proven track record leading supply chain or purchasing teams at scale.
- Experience managing significant spend (£5m+) with multiple suppliers. Candidates managing 00m upwards will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of modern planning methodologies (e.g. Demand Driven, S&OP, advanced MRP).
- Hands-on experience with supply chain planning software preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Experience within similar industry preferred (e.g. MRO, OEM, Manufacturing or Engineering)

This Supply Chain Planner / Analyst role isn't just about crunching numbers in an Excel sheet (though it is a must for the role!) it's about building smarter supply chains, driving automation, and having your voice heard at board level.
Our client, a well-established retail, wholesale, and distribution business, is creating this new position to strengthen supply chain efficiency, purchasing decisions, and data-driven operations. Because of the importance of the role, you'll need at least 2-3 years of applied professional experience as a supply chain planner or analyst. This is not a graduate or trainee role - proven expertise is essential.
The business is investing in major system upgrades and automation, giving you the opportunity to directly influence efficiency, stock availability, supplier performance, and cost savings.
What you'll bring:
- 2-3 years' applied experience as a supply chain planner or analyst (essential)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros, modelling) or Excel certification
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Kerridge K8 experience is a bonus)
- Strong analytical mindset and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills, confident presenting to managers and directors
- Organised, detail-focused, proactive approach
Where you'll make an impact:
- Own purchasing plans and stock replenishment in line with demand and supplier lead times
- Turn procurement, supplier, and inventory data into actionable insights
- Build reporting dashboards in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (Kerridge K8)
- Track supplier performance and highlight risks, opportunities, and savings
- Balance stock levels to keep customers happy while cutting waste and excess
- Present insights weekly to the Commercial Manager and monthly to the Board
- Play a key role in rolling out new automation across the supply chain

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a confident and experienced Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join our growing operations team. This role supports the function of the operations team identifying and nominating new processes to improve efficiency and ensure the best cost of materials.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Improvement – review and simplify our operational processes. Lead on implementing change across the business.

MAIN DUTIES

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Align the supply chain strategy with the company’s needs to ensure the business is provided best in class suppliers at competitive rates, to enhance our overall service offering to our customers
- Support the delivery of profit improvement for our clients through better buying
- Increase preferred supplier framework agreements
- Provide supply chain nominations for category management through adopting best in class procurement practices throughout the business
- Analyse spend data to rationalise the supply chain, optimise the use of preferred suppliers and track progress to ensure targets are achieved
- Arrange and attend supplier days to capture innovation and deliver Dalkia’s expectations, both for Procurement and individual contracts, creating a template and agenda and providing support where required
- Create a business wide SRM strategy, providing templates, structure and support
- Capture and report on performance of the supply chain

- Produce reports on growth & reward schemes, increased use of preferred suppliers and rationalisation of the supply chain benefits, to be communicated to the business
- Take ownership of supplier onboarding processes and acceptance criteria

To be successful in the role you will have:
- A procurement supply chain background in facilities management or similar service outsourcing business
- Intermediate Excel skills inc. pivot tables, v look ups, formulas – to be assessed as part of the selection process
- Experience of Power Bi Reporting
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- CIPS Level 4
