Permanent, Full time - 40 hours a week

Working days are Monday -Friday consisting of 8 hour shifts.

Location Team Valley Industrial Estate

Paragon Cutting Formes Ltd.  was founded in 1991 to provide Die Cutting and Print Finishing to the printing trade. They offer a wide range of services to Print, Packaging & Allied Trades. Duties & Responsibilities of a Die maker:

• Achieve daily production plan
li>Comply with company processes and procedures
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping
• Passing of own work
• Work with a flexible approach and when required assist with other departments in the factory
• Comply with the company health and safety procedures
• Ability to work to deadlines

Job description: 

li>Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models to gain a comprehensive understanding of the required parts
• Use machine tools to manufacture tools and dies
• Measure finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precise measurement tools
• Assemble, disassemble, and test products to ensure functionality and quality
• Repair damaged or worn out tools and dies
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and modify tools and dies
• Coordinate with engineers and other production staff to understand specific requirements and to troubleshoot problems
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with safety regulations
• Perform regular maintenance on machine tools to ensure optimal performance

Experience required:

• Previous work of cutting and or fitting dies 

li>Good problem-solving skills, whilst working under pressure
• Experience in the print finishing trade 

TOOL AND DIE TECHNICIAN URGENT

We have an urgent requirement for Tooling Technician who has experience and are looking for IMMEDIATE START, we have just the job for you!

We’re looking for an experienced Tool and Die Technician to join our team immediately for a short-term, high-impact contract. If you’re a precision-focused professional who can hit the ground running, we want you on board.

We are a fast-paced manufacturing organisation, and we have an urgent need for your skills!
Commutable from most areas of the West Midlands

• Perform quality checks to ensure tooling meets exact tolerances

• Strong machining, measurement, and fabrication skills

• Be responsible for all new and existing tooling on site
• Ensure all types of extrusion tools are stripped, cleaned and assembled ready for production
• Ensure all new tooling is polished to a production standard

• Basic Engineering background/knowledge
• Previous use of polishing equipment
• Knowledge and experience of extrusion/hand tools an advantage but not essential
• Good communication skills and practical thinking
• Ability to keep pace, in a high-volume production environment
