Dispatch Operative
We are recruiting for Dispatch Operatives to join our busy Dispatch Team based in Aston, Birmingham. We are looking for someone to assist with the day to day packing and dispatch of all goods out of the warehouse. You will also be responsible for the quality control, and stock management of all parcels being delivered.
Candidates must be reliable with a can-do attitude, and have the aptitude to work under pressure in a very busy environment. You must also be a team player with the ability to use your own initiative, be a good communicator and have a keen eye for detail. You ideally will need to have manual handling experience as some heavy lifting is required. You must be able to work to targets and achieve set daily Output figures
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loading/Unloading stock and parts
- Ensuring goods dispatched are packaged correctly to prevent damage in transit
- Counting and checking goods in and out, signing off paperwork
- Prioritising workloads (delivery schedule/production schedule)
- Liaison with Logistics, Warehouse, Sales and Production Planning Departments to ensure customer orders are correct + to check production status prior to dispatch + identify any problems which need rectifying prior to dispatch
- Adhere to all Health and Safety in the dispatch area,
- Assisting in other Warehouse and Production duties as required
You will need a minimum of 2 years experience in working in a despatch team and to targets to apply for this role, and to be considered
This will be a temporary – permanent role for the right candidate
Working hours Monday – Thursday 9am – 6pm and Friday 8.15am – 1.30pm
Pay rate £12.21ph

- Working week 37.5 hours between 6am and 6pm
