As a Senior Drainage Engineer , you will be responsible for developing and delivering drainage and highway designs for new development projects. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

You will be responsible for:
- Design technical solutions for highway and drainage systems to support S104, S38, and S278 applications.
- Perform a range of technical assessments for new developments.
- Provide guidance and technical explanations to junior staff and clients.

- Present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage projects to ensure high-quality delivery on time and to specification.

- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and innovations in civil engineering.
What we are looking for:
- Previously worked as a Drainage Engineer, Civil Engineer, Drainage Design Engineer, Cvil Infrastructure Engineer, Drainage and Highways Engineer or in a similar role.
- Possess 2 years’ experience working in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
- Experience in preparing highways or drainage designs, particularly S38, S278, and S104 processes.
- Background in writing flood risk assessments or drainage strategies.
- Proficient in drainage design principles and skilled in using Microdrainage and/or Causeway Flow software.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of relevant UK design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, and national planning policies
- Skilled in in AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.

About the Role Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced Drainage Engineers to join our team. This is a hands-on role suitable for professionals with a background in both commercial/industrial and domestic drainage work.

Working as part of the drainage team to provide support to a variety of clients during pre-planning, detailed design and construction phases of projects.
Dimensions
The drainage team is made up of a director, an associate and 2 engineers.

Engineers will have developed their civil engineering and drainage knowledge through study and practical application. The job holder will offer advice to clients, but only once it has been discussed and agreed with a more senior engineer.

We are working with a Leicester company who are looking to expand the team by recruiting a Civil Engineer. They need a multi-disciplined individual able to undertake design work and coordinate with third parties such as clients, contractors and Local Authorities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in the design of infrastructure related projects consisting of highways, drainage, earthworks and have current working knowledge of the use of Civils 3D, CAD, and drainage design software.
The team delivers a wide variety of consultancy services to a large client base, both local and national. The Transport & Infrastructure business are responsible for providing several engineering services across multiple sectors, at all stages of our client's project, from inception through to commissioning.
You will be Working on challenging and multiple projects simultaneously and will undertake preliminary and detailed design of roads, levels, drainage, and external works in both the public (adoptable) and private realm.
Requirements:
- Undertake design for infrastructure projects, including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design.
- Represent at client, contractor, and local authority meetings.
- Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff.
