Our client, a leading hospitality group, is seeking a creative and highly organized Remote Event Planning Manager to conceptualize and execute memorable events for a global clientele. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to manage event logistics, vendor relations, and client communications from the convenience of your home office.

As a Remote Event Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of a wide range of events, including corporate functions, conferences, and virtual experiences. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, develop event concepts, manage budgets, and coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection (often virtually assisted), vendor management, staffing, and on-site execution support. Your role will be critical in ensuring seamless and successful events that meet and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualizing and developing creative event themes and concepts based on client requirements.
  • Managing event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with vendors, including caterers, AV providers, decorators, and entertainment.
  • Developing detailed event timelines and project plans.
  • Coordinating all logistical elements, including venue selection, registration, accommodation, and transportation.
  • Creating and managing event registration and ticketing systems.
  • Developing and executing marketing and communication strategies for events.
  • Overseeing on-site event execution, often remotely directing local teams or venue staff.
  • Managing virtual and hybrid event platforms and technical aspects.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Conducting post-event evaluations and reporting on event success and key metrics.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new event technologies.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving unforeseen issues during the planning and execution phases.
  • Managing event staff and volunteers as required.
  • Ensuring all events comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, preferably in the hospitality sector. Proven experience in managing diverse events, including virtual and hybrid formats, is essential. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills are paramount. Proficiency in event management software and a strong understanding of budgeting and vendor management are required.
