Meridian are recruiting Electricians mates for a role in Bristol (BS7) where they will be working on a commercial shop refit of a Waitrose store. This is working for a commercial contractor who work nationwide on similar projects.
5 weeks work
12 hour days Monday to Friday
20.00 per hour Umbrella or PAYE Equivalent
Duties include assisting with 2nd fix, wiring and lighting.

The Person:
- RelevantLevel 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or recognisedElectrical apprenticeship.
- Relevant experience within afast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office family of products
- Experience of Maintenance Management Systems & software.
The Role:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance, Breakdowns and repairs of machinery and production Lines.
- Ensure planned maintenance is carried out in line with the site schedule. Liaising with other departments to ensure tasks are completed with little to no impact on operations.
- Communication: Liaise with Engineering colleagues on a regular basis to communicate equipment status, performance against the required schedule.
- Manage Health and Safety: Ensure all engineering work carried out meets the requirements of Quality, Safety, Health & Environment policies & procedures.
- Document Standard Work & Standard Confirmation: Ensure documents are up to date and that reflect the preventive maintenance.
This role is working Monday to Friday rotating shifts:
06:00am - 14:00pm
14:00pm - 22:00pm
10:00pm - 6:00am
You must be able tostart ASAP.
The pay rate is between33.00 to35.00ph (Dependant on experience)

- Good understanding of electrical control principles and hardware to provide technical support to technicians

As a Electrical Engineer this is what you will be doing.
You will be working a 3-shift pattern (Mornings/Afternoons/Nights) taking control of a busy manufacturing/production area covering of all aspects of machinery breakdown and upgrades.
Tasks will include:
- Maintaining and repairing equipment in line with schedules and specifications to ensure reliability and limit breakdown occurrence Equipment testing, fault finding and repair.
- Identifying recurring problems with any equipment or machinery and implementing corrective procedures through root cause analysis.
- Complete Machine installation and commissioning.
- PLC Fault finding including Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley
- Maintaining tools and repair equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Supporting and promoting all continuous improvement activities on site
The experience you will bring to the team.
- Ideally educated to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Electrical Engineering or ideally a HNC equivalent.
- It is essential that the successful applicant is a time-served, apprentice trained Multiskilled Engineer.

We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years’ experience in similar Electrical/ HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with BS 7671.
Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance.
Handle basic Mechanical Ppms
