This role would suit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar with a level 3 qualification, looking for extensive internal and external Electrical Engineering training, in an industry leading manufacturer, who value and champion their employees through technical career progression, overtime earning potential, an annual Christmas bonus, and a manageable working week.

The Role
As a Small Works / Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of a variety of small works and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. You will take ownership of client relationships, lead project teams, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of small works and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
- Oversee M&E-focused works, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.
- Liaise with clients to fully understand requirements and deliver exceptional service.
- Prepare project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and value for money.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and risks, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Promote health, safety, and environmental best practice on all works.
- Support the growth and development of the department by identifying new opportunities and driving service improvements.
About You
- Proven experience in managing small works and/or maintenance projects.
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) knowledge with a technical or trade background.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver value.
- Proactive, ambitious, and keen to contribute to departmental growth.
- Relevant qualifications in M&E or construction management (desirable but not essential).

- Install ladder racks, cable trays, and distribution systems as per site drawings and customer requirements.
- Install, wire, and test control panels and machine systems following schematic diagrams.
- Inspect and test electrical systems, including circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and is completed to a high standard.
- Work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and contract managers to meet completion targets.
Requirements / Qualifications

and Anglian facilities to carry out installation of WSS (rental focussed) equipment with focus in the
Anglian and surrounding areas.
The Electrical Installation Engineer will be responsible for install, commission, service & repair of 3 phase
pumps, motors & associated control equipment, including but not limited to VFD & Soft start drives.
The role covers Monday to Friday 39 hours per week as well as being part of an on-call rota.
**Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:**
- Supporting the Rental Team with temporary installation, repair and refurbishment of submersible and
surface mounted pumping equipment, sewage systems & treatment plants.
- As part of a team and lone working supporting a reactive type of work that requires the successful
candidate to be quick thinking, and adaptable.
- Isolate, dismantle and inspect pumping equipment.
- Install and commission temporary Rental equipment and all associated apparatus.
- Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions daily.
- Work in a confined space environment.
- Driving a company vehicle to the standard required by Xylem Water Solution UK Ltd.
- To undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the level of the job.
- Standard hours of work are 39 per week however a totally flexible working attitude is necessary to
meet the client and business needs. In addition, evening & weekend on-call duties will be necessary
on a rotating basis.
**Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:**
