About the Role
We are seeking a talented Employment Solicitor with around 2+ years' post-qualification experience to join a highly respected Legal 500-ranked practice in Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, within a friendly and supportive team environment.
The friendly, Employment department works closely with both employers and employees, offering practical, commercially focused advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters including contracts, policies, redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, and TUPE issues.
- Advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Representing clients in employment tribunals and managing pre-claim negotiations.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies.
- Working closely with colleagues across the firm to provide joined-up legal support to clients.
- Contributing to business development and client relationship management activities.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with around 2+ years PQE in employment law
- Solid technical expertise and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience advising both employers and employees.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Commercially minded and solution-focused.
