  • Reporting into the Engineering Manager the Skilled Maintenance Engineers will take responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance duties within this fast-paced production environment.
  • li>As a key member of the Engineering team the Skilled Maintenance Engineers will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit.

Your Duties: Skilled Maintenance Engineers

  • To complete planned mechanical / electrical maintenance to include fault finding, breakdown repairs, installation and modification to plant and services.   
  • Ensure all Engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation and current Company Standards
  • li>Skilled Maintenance Engineers fault diagnose and complete breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment and site services
  • Manage your workload and time plan seeking out improvements and running repairs
  • Skilled Maintenance Engineers need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and to help plan / implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
  • Undertake any other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of the role.
  • Successful Skilled Maintenance Engineers will be/have:
  •  Previous Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • li>Skilled Maintenance Engineers need to be time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an

As a Fire Engineer, you'll typically be working on a variety of projects at once from a University in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. All with the same goal of enabling innovative architectural design without compromising on the fire safety of the building.
You'll be running through design information, liaising with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, presenting designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and helping to inform the design team about what changes could be made to increase the safety of the building.
Naturally, there is a lot to learn and you are likely to be guided through a variation of software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start but we're a nice bunch and we regularly get together for social events.
In addition to the above day to day role, we will assist the successful candidate toward his/her professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations.

+ Working within a team to produce designs and drawings for construction projects and deliver technical reports for master planning and to support planning applications. **What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ A civil engineering degree and be approaching Chartered status with experience in highway and highway drainage design.
+ You will have post graduate experience in a civil engineering working environment.
+ Experience in producing masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings.
+ You will have a knowledge of and ability to deliver highway design, highway drainage principles (layout, parameters, etc.), surface water and foul drainage designs.
+ Experience in the use of Windes drainage software and PDS or Civils 3D modelling software together with experience in applying Highways England and Local Authority design guidance.
+ The ability to work effectively with colleagues including more senior and junior staff in producing designs, drawings and reports.
+ Knowledge of the relevant design codes such as DMRB, Local Authority Highway and Water Authority Design Guides and be well versed in the preparation of drawings for S38 and S278 Highway Agreements as well as S106 Drainage Agreements.
+ A Consultancy or Development background with a balance of private and public sector work.
+ You will contribute to the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issue.
+ You will have proven experience and an interest in helping the junior members of the team in producing designs.

About the Role:


As Director, you will take ownership of the team’s success – leading key client relationships, winning work, and delivering high-value projects across a variety of sectors. You will be instrumental in setting the strategic direction for growth, mentoring a small, experienced team, and further developing an already respected regional presence.


What We’re Looking For:


  • A proven work winner , confident in building and sustaining senior client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience, ideally having grown or led a consultancy team.
  • A respected network across Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
  • Previous experience working within a UK-based construction or property consultancy .
  • Commercially minded, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Ideally MRICS qualified or similar
