**As an Environmental Health Safety Specialist, you'll be responsible for:**
Providing support and advice on all aspects of occupational health, safety, and environment for UK&I services/projects/integration of acquisitions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
Collaborating with senior management and other functions to achieve optimal EHS performance.
Supporting Senior Leadership in the deployment of EH&S strategies and providing guidance to operational management on the prevention of workplace incidents and illnesses.
Promoting and ensuring adherence to Lead with Safety Commitments and actively promoting EHS as a shared responsibility rooted in the right EHS culture.
Coaching management teams to develop a deep understanding of EHS responsibilities and the business benefits of robust EHS program.
Overseeing EHS investigations into workplace incidents to uncover root causes, identifying immediate and preventative actions and capture u201clessons learnedu201d.
Identifying EHS resource needs during project proposal phase, based on project role, scale, hazard profile and technical complexity.
Managing prequalification, deployment, and safety performance of subcontractors.
Producing and delivering EHS training & development programs.
Conducting regular safety inspections/audits and closing on corrective actions in a timely manner.
Providing administrative support in particular the internal EH&S reporting system.
Reviewing and updating all EH&S policies procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
Producing timely EH&S communication in various formats (videos, in-person briefings/presentations, written communication)
Supporting EH&S certification renewals.
**To be successful in the role, you should have:**
NEBOSH General Certificate
Previous experience in Health & Safety area gained working with organizations in construction or field based and manufacturing operations.
Regulatory knowledge including safety, environmental and other regulatory standards applicable to building services industries and construction.
Willingness to travel (this role does require travel throughout Southern UK regions on a regular basis to visit job sites and depot locations).
Valid UK driving license.
Ability to organize, motivate, and drive change and interact cross functionally.
Inter-personal skills with a proven ability to influence, build effective working relationships and drive cultural change with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
