The Role and Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their External Reporting team. You will be instrumental in ensuring all statutory, regulatory, and lender reporting is completed to a high standard. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for all group companies, adhering to FRS102 and IAS standards.
- Contributing to year-end processes, including audit deliverables and internal audit procedures.
- Helping with technical accounting projects, providing recommendations on accounting treatments, and implementing changes where necessary.
- Preparing regulatory returns and facility reporting for their financial backers.
- Liaising effectively with internal teams and external partners, such as auditors and independent advisors.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong academic background and relevant work experience, ideally within financial services or audit. They are looking for someone who possesses:
- Strong competency in reporting under FRS102 and IAS .
- A working knowledge of IAS39 and IFRS9 .
- The ability to think strategically and apply a critical questioning approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, enquiring mind.
- Experience with debt securitisation reporting and Netsuite is a distinct advantage.
