As a Remote Food Service Coordinator, your duties will encompass managing the entire lifecycle of catering orders, from initial inquiry to post-event review. This involves liaising with clients to ascertain their needs, liaising with a network of approved catering vendors to secure services, managing menus, and confirming all logistical details for timely delivery and setup. You will ensure client satisfaction by meticulously addressing all requirements, including dietary restrictions and special requests. The ability to multitask and communicate clearly and professionally in a remote setting is paramount.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and processing catering requests, understanding specific client needs and event parameters.
- Selecting and coordinating with appropriate catering vendors based on service type, budget, and client feedback.
- Developing and presenting tailored menu proposals to clients.
- Confirming all details related to food, beverage, service staff, and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food handling and preparation.
- Managing event timelines and coordinating with vendors for punctual delivery and service execution.
- Acting as the primary remote liaison between clients, vendors, and any on-site event staff.
- Resolving any immediate issues or discrepancies that may arise during the catering process.
- Conducting post-event debriefs with clients and vendors to assess performance and gather feedback.
- Maintaining detailed records of all catering contracts, invoices, and operational data.
- Staying current with culinary trends, seasonal offerings, and event catering innovations.
- Assisting in the expansion and vetting of the vendor network.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in catering management, event coordination, or a closely related field. Proficiency in using online communication and project management tools is essential for this remote role. You must possess outstanding organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work autonomously. Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities are highly desirable. Are you a Process Technologist with proven food industry experience, looking for a role where no two days are the same? This growing manufacturer is investing in people, kit and there is significant activity in product development. This new addition to the team is key to the next stage in growing the product range.

In this role you will be given
- Real autonomy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Responsibility for product trials and managing multiple projects to tight deadlines.
- Key involvement in strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cross-functional working with Development, Production, Engineering, and Technical teams.
- Direct customer interaction, including supporting visits and presentations.

Your Background
