This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer to take the next step up to a Senior Buyer within a leading food manufacturing business. Working as part of a large procurement team, you’ll be responsible for buying a variety of ingredients for the group.


As a Senior Buyer you will work closely with stakeholders and suppliers to understand the needs of the business’ customers, looking at areas of Continuous Improvement and play an integral part of the NPD process.


You will need to have previous buying experience gained within the food or FMCG sector and ideally be CIPS qualified or working towards it. Personality is key within the business and you will need to be self-motivated, be great at building long-term relationships, and be a real ambassador of procurement within the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Performing detailed inspections at every stage of the production process, up to final delivery

  • Checking rebar and cages against technical drawings and models

  • Conducting pre-pour inspections (dimensions, fittings, concrete cover)

  • Monitoring Quality Assurance Record (QAR) compliance

  • Identifying, investigating, and reporting issues

  • Raising and distributing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

  • Supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Preventative Action (PA) activities

  • Conducting cover checks, crack surveys, and pull testing

  • Assessing remedial works and green-tagging units for approval

You will need to be able to work at a fast pace and follow instructions well.
