As the sole supplier for a leading materials handling brand they have established a strong and trusted position within the market. Due to this ongoing success they are now looking to bolster their service team with an additional Service Engineer.
As a Forklift Service Engineer you will be based from home and covering Hull and immediate surrounding areas but will rarely travel more than 2 hours so will be home every evening. You will travel to customer sites carrying out a range of planned service and reactive repairs to forklift trucks and materials handling equipment. The company will provide you will full product training to get you up to speed in the new industry. This is a Mon-Fri days based role with a 1 in 7 call out rota and optional overtime to increase your earnings.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a forklift engineer looking to join a well established company that doesn't set unrealistic targets.
THE ROLE:
*Covering a patch of Hull and surrounding areas
*Planned servicing and reactive repairs

Our Waresley factory specialises in making bricks. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of the inhouse team who keep the gears turning and the equipment running smoothly.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands-on with specialist machinery, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It's a dynamic role where problem-solving skills and technical expertise are used daily, and you will be a key player contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.
Our engineers have a varied role, so you’ll get the chance to use a variety of maintenance skills associated with being a fitter, fabricator, welder, and service engineer.
Duties also include:
- Carrying out essential maintenance li>Assist in developing the agility maintenance system
- Attend breakdowns
- Ensure machine safety standards are upheld and critical spares are maintained
- Install/maintain plant machinery
- Improve factory overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Promote Lean thinking
- Use various types of testing equipment to locate and fix faults
- Contribute to safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation
- Adhere to Wienerberger’s quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to make sure you can work safely and effectively.
Hours of Work: 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern. Shifts 1 and 2 (6am to 6pm), Shift 3 (7am to 7pm), Shift 4 (6pm to 6am)
Flexibility may be required depending on business needs
About You
You will be a mechanically biased engineer with experience working in manufacturing / factory environments, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
Safety is our biggest priority, so you’ll be committed to safe working and have strong experience of health and safety best practice.
You’ll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on, and being flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently.
As this role is sometimes physically demanding, you’ll be fit enough to perform your various duties.
