**Your role and responsibilities**
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Application Developer to spearhead our Azure cloud initiatives. As a thought leader, you'll guide strategic decisions, architect complex solutions, and mentor our development team.
Responsibilities
* Define the technical strategy and architecture for Azure-based applications, aligning with business goals and technological advancements.
* Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous growth and improvement.

* Extensive experience in full stack development with a strong portfolio showcasing Azure expertise.

**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Azure Full Stack Developer at IBM you see the big picture, able to imagine successful technology-driven solutions from start to finish. As a Full Stack Developer, you'll help design, develop, and integrate solutions using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products our clients demand today.
You'll work with clients, co-creating solutions to major real-world challenges by translating system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment. In your role you may be responsible for:
* Use IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability.
* Work with a variety of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB), operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android), and modern UI frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, and JQuery).
* Work across the entire system architecture, from backend to front end, to design, develop, and support high quality and scalable products.
* Help maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automatization
* Create everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures as you deliver a complete minimally viable product
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications on Azure, utilizing services like Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, etc.
* Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features.
* Ensure the performance, quality, and security of applications.
* Work closely with the DevOps team to manage, deploy, and monitor Azure resources.
* Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
* Write clean, well-structured, and thoroughly tested code.
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
* Specifically, ensure all application development follows public sector regulations and standards.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
* Professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
* Extensive experience in Azure cloud services and related technologies.
* Proficient in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular) and back-end languages (C#, Java, Python, etc.).
* Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
* Experience with version control systems (Git).
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Knowledge of public sector regulations and standards relevant to software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with serverless architectures and containerization technologies (Azure Functions, Docker, Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines).
* Familiarity with security best practices in cloud computing.
