As a member of a prominent housing association, you will be helping us ensure that homes remain safe, warm, and energy-efficient. In your role as a Level 3 Gas Technician Apprentice, you will develop hands-on skills in maintaining essential heating systems for our residents, all while pursuing a nationally recognised qualification.

Requirements
Outline of key responsibilities for the Apprentice Gas Technician.
- Support qualified gas engineers in servicing, repairing, and installing gas appliances across our housing stock
- Deliver essential services to residents , ensuring heating and hot water systems are safe and reliable
- Attend college to complete your Level 3 Gas Engineering qualification
- Carry out safety checks and diagnostics under supervision, learning to meet regulatory standards
- Follow health & safety and safeguarding protocols , especially when working in occupied homes
- Communicate professionally with residents and colleagues , representing the housing association with care and respect
We are looking for someone who has.
- You must either be applying to, currently enrolled in, or a student at a local college in Blackburn.
- A genuine interest in gas engineering and helping people
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and work in diverse environments
- Respect for residents and commitment to excellent service
- Determination to complete the full apprenticeship programme
- Enthusiasm for sustainable technologies and a keen interest in renewable energy, especially heat pump systems
- Willingness to learn, work hard, and grow within a fast-evolving industry

- Salary: During the first year of the apprenticeship, the compensation will be £7.55 per hour, equating to an annual salary of £4,526.20. PLEASE be aware that this is regardless of age.
- In the 2nd year salary Under 18, .55 per hour and annually, 4,526.20. 0 per hour, annual salary 9,240.00 (Aged 18-20) or (for those aged over 21) 2.21 per hour, annual salary 3,492.04
