Our client, a reputable community care provider in Portsmouth , is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Support Worker to join their dedicated team. This is an on-site role focused on providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes and in community settings. You will play a pivotal role in supervising junior care staff, contributing to care plan development, and ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are met. Responsibilities include delivering direct care to clients with varying needs, including elderly individuals and those with disabilities or complex health conditions. You will also be responsible for assessing client needs, creating and reviewing care plans, administering medication (where appropriate and trained), and maintaining accurate records. As a senior member of the team, you will provide guidance and support to Care Support Workers, conduct supervisions, and ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in social care or a related field, a strong understanding of care regulations, and excellent leadership qualities. You must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills, along with a genuine empathy for vulnerable individuals. Tradewind are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to work off-site on a 1-to-1 basis alongside a teacher, providing support in the Millom area.

About the Role:

This unique role involves supporting a teacher working outside the mainstream classroom environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting wellbeing, building trust, and helping to create a safe, supportive atmosphere that enables positive engagement and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1-to-1 pastoral support in an off-site setting.
  • Build a positive, professional relationship with the teacher and support their daily needs.
