About the role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Operations, the role will involve directing the AMO (Atomic, Molecular and Optical) Theory and Simulation team who are designing ion-traps and benchmarking the performance of quantum networking protocols. The Group Lead role involves supporting the technical teams in their career development, and technical endeavours, supporting them in identifying technical problems that are valuable to solve, and ways to develop robust workflows. There will thus be opportunities for creative thinking and contributing to the company’s strategy.

The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative environment and should be able to draw on their experience to strengthen system-level and strategic thinking within the team. The role will also involve coordinating with their peer AMO Group Lead (Experimental group) and guiding project-based Technical Leads to stand performant quantum network testbeds.
