ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Associate Creative Director to play a key role in developing and delivering innovative creative concepts that bring our clients’ brands to life.
This role will combine idea generation, storytelling with an understanding of the experience journey through multiple touchpoints. You will be confident in shaping creative concepts and storytelling threads in response to client and audience requirements. A great communicator of ideas and able to seamlessly brief across design (2D and 3D), content, and sensory experience. You’ll support the creative development process end-to-end—helping to ensure Sleek’s work is not only original and impactful but also seamless in execution.
You’ll be highly creative, organised, and confident working across both pitch and live project environments, bringing ideas to life in ways that inspire clients and audiences alike.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Development
- The Big Idea: Lead on the creation and curation of compelling event experience and campaign-able concepts, from pitch stage through to live delivery.
- Storytelling: Shape look/feel, messaging, and narrative ‘red thread’ for experiences that connect with audiences.
- Engagement: Define interactions and immersive touchpoints to enhance experiences. Looking to technology and performance to inspire fresh thinking.
- The Sell: Crafting presentations to succinctly sell the concept in a clear and simple way. Bringing together insight, story, proposition and touchpoints in a cohesive whole.
- Research: Following cultural and industry trends to inject fresh thinking into Sleek’s work, along with suggesting potential cultural collaborations and conversations.
- Inspire: Alongside the Creative Director, ensure that creative inspiration is spread across the wider team. Being inclusive in including the wider team in brainstorm and workshop sessions. Mentoring more junior members of the team.
Project Delivery
- Skilled at briefing designers, producers and technical team on the creative intent. Inspiring them and providing them with references to aid realisation. These might include mood-boards (sensation, materiality, style etc), performance specification, scripts and storyboards.
- Continued collaboration with designers, producers, and technical teams to ensure creative ideas are faithfully executed. Quality control and safeguarding the creative principles through the delivery process
- Attend project meetings and provide creative input aligned with budgets, timelines, and KPIs. Updating concepts as development progresses.
- Support on venue selections and attend site visits to explore opportunities and map out the overarching experience across real space.
- Maintain consistency and quality control across all creative outputs.
Business Development
- Build rapport with clients, ensuring ideas are clearly communicated and aligned to their objectives.
- Spot opportunities to bring new thinking or approaches to client relationships.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Experience within events, experiential marketing, or a related creative industry.
- A portfolio that demonstrates creativity across different event formats (B2B/B2C).
- Working strategically, evaluating insights around brand and audience to ensure that creative concepts are always relevant
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with confidence in front of clients.
- Ability to balance creativity with practical delivery considerations (budget, technical, logistics).
- Competence in relevant creative and presentation tools (Adobe Creative Suite; Powerpoint; We use Miro as a collaborative tool). Comfortable using AI generative software (Chat GPT, Midjourney or similar) is expected.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
