Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary Academy in Bexley, in Southeast London/Kent. They are looking for a permanent Head of Art and DT.

As a Head of Art and DT, you'll shape and deliver the strategic vision for Art and DT and lead the delivery of high-quality, engaging Art and DT education across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
The department has excellent results, and the team is passionate and experienced.
The department uses a range of techniques and disciplines including Fine Art, Sculpture, Print making, 3D design, Photography, Food Tech and Hospitality and Catering.
They have extensive facilities including dark room, kiln, etching presses, laser cutting, vacuum forming machinery, cameras, access to the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
As a Head of Art and DT you'll monitor and raise student achievement, lead on assessment and moderation and liaise with exam boards.
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- QTS/QTLS and Art/DT specialism
- Deep understanding of the Art and DT curriculum for KS3, 4 and 5
- Experience teaching Art to KS3, 4 and 5
- Ability to teach Photography and knowledge Photoshop
- Passion to Champion Art and DT across the school
