Our client, a leader in the aviation industry, is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Senior Aviation Safety Compliance Officer to join their remote-based team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and safety standards. You will leverage your expertise to develop, implement, and maintain robust safety management systems, conduct rigorous audits, and provide expert guidance to operational teams. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to contribute to aviation safety from anywhere within the UK.

- Develop, implement, and manage the organisation's Safety Management System (SMS) in line with EASA, CAA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operational areas, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Prepare detailed safety reports, present findings to senior management, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of staff.
- Stay current with evolving aviation regulations, standards, and best practices, advising the organisation on necessary changes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies on safety-related matters.
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Maintain all safety-related documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation safety management, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of international and national aviation regulations (e.g., EASA Part-145, Part-M, Part-CAMO, IOSA).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Strong understanding of aviation risk management principles and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in safety reporting and data analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ICAO Safety Management Systems, Auditor Training) are highly desirable.
