Salary from £12.52 per hour to £13.63

Reports To: Ward Manager / Nurse-in-Charge
SJK Healthcare Recruitment are now hiring experienced Healthcare Assistants for our client to work with in the NHS clients in Scotland area
Job Purpose
To provide compassionate, safe, and effective care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
The Healthcare Assistant supports daily activities, promotes patient dignity, and contributes to a positive care environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• • Assist patients with personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• • Support patients with mobility and help them move safely around the ward.
• • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• • Help serve meals and assist patients with eating and drinking.
• • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas.
• • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• • Report any concerns about patient wellbeing to senior staff.
• • Follow infection control and safeguarding procedures.
• • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Person Specification
- Able to assist with patient handling and mobility
Clear and compassionate communication - Experience in patient-facing roles
- Teamwork
- Works well with others
- 1 year plus Experience in NHS setting
- Reliability Punctual and dependable
Working Conditions
• Shift work including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Exposure to clinical environments and sensitive situations.
• Requires standing, walking, and assisting patients for extended periods.

A Senior Healthcare Assistant is required at our Client’s fantastic Residential Care facility Situated in central Perth. The well-maintained facility offers 24-hour care for people over the age of 65, and in particular those living with Dementia for up to 17 service users.

- Experience with specialized disinfection techniques and equipment (e.g., UV-C disinfection, electrostatic sprayers).
- Proficiency in the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and any required medical screenings.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience is highly desirable.
