We are seeking a pro-active individual, ideally from a healthcare background and preferably with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care to join our clinic as a Healthcare Assistant in **Merthyr Tydfill** Dialysis Unit.
**What does the role involve?**
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations, as well as generally ensuring that the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.
This is an active role which involves extensive walking between patients throughout the clinic and some lifting responsibilities. However, we will provide regular training and guidance, so that you can develop your knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management. Computer skills are essential, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with the team.
This is a **full time role of 37.5 hours** a week. Current days are working various shifts between **6.30am and 18.30pm Monday to Saturday** .

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Clinical Lead for their Nursing Home located in Clevedon. The successful applicant will:Be the focal point for contact with people who live here, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well-being, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are promptly investigated and dealt with appropriately.
Be responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff by observation and direct involvement, ensuring that all people that live here receive quality medical and personal care and that care plans are fully maintained.
Take part in CQC and North Somerset inspections, ensuring all regulations and standards are met.
Be responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements. Including COSHH, health and safety and all aspects of health and social care to maintain a safe environment throughout.
Act at all times in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct (if relevant).
Ensure all policies, procedures and business objectives are met.
Prepare the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times. Or delegate this out
Appraise staff.
Instruct of all staff in safe systems of work, fire safety and evacuation procedures, and induction of new staff.
Be responsible for monitoring the state of well-being of each person, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
Liaise with the proprietor on the marketing of the Home to existing and potential people who live here and relatives, health and social care professionals, developing links with other care providers to work together for the mutual benefit of those agencies and the Home.
Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks and in particular moving and handling of people who live here, by assessing risks and having due regard for personal safety and the safety of people who live here, visitors and staff.
Understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act. Demonstrates a working knowledge of COSHH assessments.
Act courteously toward people who live here and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each person and ensure effective communication is maintained.
Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and action all reasonable work instructions promptly.
Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
Attend all relevant staff meetings.

Hold a First Level Nurse qualification and current NMC registration
Demonstrate a minimum 5 years' experience and up to date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post – basic studies / qualification.
To be fully conversant and have good working knowledge of the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Regulations and DBS procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all subsequent legislations and disclosure requirements relevant to the running and proper operation of a Nursing Home and all statutory compliance matters.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of CQC Fundamental standards.
Become familiar with the Health and Social Care Act (2008/2014) and Regulations and assist the Manager in implementing and observing the same within the Home
Display excellent interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities and work systems to staff.
Demonstrate proven organisational and planning skills to ensure continuity of care.
Demonstrate motivational leadership skills and promotion of high standards of care.
Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
