What Are We Looking For?

Our Health & Safety department are looking to recruit an Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis, working from our Dalgety Bay office. Your role will involve ensuring that all RSE companies’ activities are carried out in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and that all persons affected either directly or indirectly are not subjected to avoidable risks.

Please note owing to the nature of this role, and location of works, this position will require travel across Scotland.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with RSE’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems
  • li>Ensure that where appropriate, all requirements under the current CDM regulations are satisfied Including assisting project teams in compiling Construction Phase Plans.
  • Provide assistance on all matters related to QHSE issues to departments and individuals within the Ross-shire engineering group of companies as and when required under the day-to-day direction of the Health & Safety Manager
  • Carry out QHSE inspections and/or audits both at the RSE companies’ premises, and construction sites, as directed by the Health & Safety Manager to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner and that persons are not placed in a hazardous environment
  • < i>Complete relevant QHSE inspection and/or audit reports highlighting any issues/nonconformance and issue the report to the relevant Project Engineer/Project Manager/Site Manager and to the QHSE Managers and the Company Directors
  • Assist and advise Engineers/Site Managers as appropriate with the preparation of Health & Safety risk assessments and matters of safe working and compliance as required
  • Produce COSHH assessments as required
  • Communicate and liaise fully with all departments within the business

What Do You Need?

  • NEBOSH general (Level 3) essential (or working towards)
  • Practical understanding and approach to managing QHSE, with a focus on building relationships with delivery teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience in the application of Health & Safety practices in both manufacturing and construction sites. Utilities experience highly advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience:

Knowledge and Skills:

The candidate should have excellent questioning and listening skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in a clear, concise and professional manner

Job Description

As a Rapid Response Cleaner, you will play a vital role in supporting the business across all aspects of self-delivered activities within the aligned UK sector.

Working alongside both direct and indirect account teams, you’ll help ensure effective service delivery and frontline compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide BAU cover for cleaners’ absence, carrying out standard site cleaning
  • li>Handle reactive jobs from the help desk, such as spillages or sickness clean-ups, prioritised by urgency
  • Work from the weekly planned schedule, but adjust for reactive tasks

The Opportunity:

Soapworks Ltd is looking for a proactive and driven Safety, Health & Environment Coordinator to champion a culture of safety and environmental excellence across our operations.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of shaping, implementing, and continually improving our safety, health and environment standards - ensuring not only compliance but setting new benchmarks for workplace well-being and environmental care.

With ambitious goals and formative plans for a new factory, we need someone who shares our passion for excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Ensure SHE compliance with legal and company standards.
•   Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong SHE culture across all levels.
•   Develop and support SHE skills among managers, supervisors, and staff.
•   Oversee risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
•   Manage health & safety policies, procedures, records, and compliance with ISO 14001, 45001, and client standards.
•   Lead Health & Safety Committee meetings and ensure timely completion of action points.
•   Monitor and communicate legislative updates and SHE performance KPIs.
•   Maintain environmental compliance documentation and reporting.
•   Ensure personal and organizational adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

•   NEBOSH Qualification
•   Internal Audit Qualification 

Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

•   Experience of working within a manufacturing/FMCG environment, ideally within an SME.
•   Good knowledge of environmental practices and compliance within a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
•   Experience in ISO9001/ ISO14001/ ISO45001 internal audit practices.
•   Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
•   Experience of developing and conducting engaging SHE presentations including induction training and toolbox talks.
•   Experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques would be advantageous.
