Home Care Assistants
NWCare is a family run domiciliary care agency serving the community in healthcare in Northern Ireland for well over 50 years.
We are recruitingHome Care Assistants to cover both full time and part time rotas in Rathfriland, Ballyholland and Hilltown. No training or qualifications are required as NWCare provides full bespoke training in their in-house training academy.
We work a 4/3 rota pattern - Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday | Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
The morning rotas begin at 07:00 and finish at 14:30; afternoon rotas begin at 15:00 and finish at 18:30 and the put to bed rotas begin at 19:00 and finish at 23:00.
For mums with no childcare or for students who are at college/university during the day, the bed rotas offer a flexible option to earn extra money.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle
- Great communication skills
- Able to promote and deliver person centered care
- Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care
- Be well organised/professional/caring
- Interested in working in the community within Health and Social Care
- Care about the community they live in

A day in the life
This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You'll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity. You'll step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level
- Relevant experience managing a team
- Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies
- Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management
