We are seeking an experienced and versatile Heating & Plumbing Engineer to join our team, based in Reading . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services for a range of heating and hot water systems in both domestic and commercial properties.
This is a field-based role with a strong focus on technical expertise, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. It includes supervising on-site works and ensuring all tasks are completed to industry and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and deliver on-site installation and servicing of hot water cylinders, thermal storage systems, and heat pumps
Carry out general central heating system installations and repairs (domestic and commercial)
Provide on-site supervision, technical support, and guidance to team members
Conduct fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and reactive repairs to ensure effective operation of heating systems
Install, upgrade, and maintain plumbing, heating, sanitation, and HVAC systems (planned and reactive works)
Ensure all works meet PAS 2030, MCS standards, and Gas Safe regulations
Participate in out-of-hours rota, including overtime and emergency call-outs
Accurately record work activities using a PDA or similar device
Report incidents, near-misses, and hazards in line with H&S procedures
Perform additional maintenance tasks within your qualifications and training
Provide a professional and adaptable service to meet varied customer needs
Essential Qualifications:
